Summer Updates

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the last remains of Summer since I am already ready to jump right into the Autumn season and bundle up into sweaters and leggings along with some hot cider! 

It was an EXTREMELY busy summer for me where I had no downtime to myself and I felt like I was going a little crazy. I was over exhausted and not getting sleep, constantly anxious, and just a huge battle mentally and physically. Thankfully it has calmed down and I am on the last phase of being driven crazy which is puppy sitting! We are watching my boyfriends parents dogs and they have a 9-year-old pug and a 6-month-old bullmastiff puppy! The pug is an angel but the puppy...she has her moments. Our poor pug is ready for her to just go! Only 6 more days till it is all calm again though so it's almost over. 

Over the summer I have gotten quite a few new video games to eventually playthrough! I forget exactly what I have gotten since it's been far and few between purchases. I have still been streaming on Twitch right now a little bit less because I am wiped from the puppy. I am currently playing through 3 games! On a channel called RetroRPGRevival I am playing Atelier Iris 3 - I am in the final stretch of beating the game, just wrapping up some stuff before beating the game. On my channel (DefectiveMID) I am currently playing Beyond the Beyond and SaGa Frontier. SaGa Frontier is mainly on the weekends when I get a chance to play but I have beaten 2 stories so far. I am aiming to beat them all! Beyond the Beyond I am about half way through and I am really enjoying the game so far! Over the next few months I have the games all planned out from viewer requests: Tactic Ogre Cling Together for psp, Tales of Symphonia PS3, FFX HD on PS4, and Persona 5. On RRR after I beat Atelier Iris 3 I am thinking it might be Shadow Hearts (PS2) for my next game on there. 

Off stream, I am currently playing through Dragon Quest 11 and Octopath Traveller. Octopath I am currently just doing all the side quests since I have beaten the chapters for each character - the grinding is just starting to get to me so I have since been occupied with Dragon Quest 11 and I am loving it! There are so many games that are coming out this year and next year that look amazing! I need to start up my Kingdom Hearts playthrough soon since KH3 comes out on my bday! Also looking forward to the Resident Evil 2 remake. So many games so little time! 

What has everyone been playing currently or looking forward to playing in the coming months?

Sorry your summer was stressful. I've been playing Spider-Man and SNES Mini after finishing the most recent Yakuza. Looking forward to playing Tomb Raider and Life is Strange when my wants budget comes back from behind.

Thankfully summer is nearly over! It's recently gotten better but telling ya next year I am taking some time off for myself next summer! 

I need to play the new Tomb Raider games as well, along with Life is Strange. I have heard good things. I am hoping to get Spiderman later this year to play myself since it looks amazing!

I like the new Spider-Man game, but don't expect much of anything new if you played older titles like Spider-Man 2, aside from some new Arkham-like stealth mechanics. I take issue with people comparing the combat to Arkham, cause a lot of core ideas (if not necessarily execution) in Arkham combat were in Spider-Man 2 already. Tongue Out

It's fun enough though, and easy to play for long sessions. I'm at 85% completion without really trying.

Sorry about the stress. Maybe fall will be better? I'm looking forward to the holidaze. 

I've been playing DQ11 too. Only 8 hours in, but I'm loving it. I'm slow. Great, great game though. 

I bought Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition for the Switch, and I'm looking forward to playing SpiderMan eventually. For fall I'm looking forward to Smash Bros and Mutant Year Zero.

I hope the autumn is better! So far it is, once the puppy sitting is over I will be a happy camper again. I cannot wait for the holidays either! I'm excited to decorate for Halloween this year haha and just decorate the house in general!

I sadly want to get the FF15 Pocket edition...it looks adorable even though I have the original. So it's a hard maybe haha. I have Smash Preordered and I am super excited to play it!

I got a little bit further in DQ11 and I am just loving everything about it!

I'm having another direction change at school that's driving me nuts, so I identify with the strees. I'm deep in it right now. 

That's a lot of JRPGs all at once. How to keep track of all those stories?

I'd like to play a lot of things but don't have the money for them. I will have anything that pops up on Game Pass though. Which means I'll be all over Forza Horizon 4 when it releases. I'm already playing the demo right now. 

Also, I'm breaking out my PS3 this week and am going to try and get to Last of Us.

I hope the stress lessens up for you as well soon!

I mainly play JRPGs/RPGs haha so I have gotten in the habit of remembering where I leave off with notes! Or I watch my VoDs on Twitch to remember where I left off and then the story just rushes back to me. 

Very nice games to play! I still need to dip my feet into the Last of Us still as well, so many games so little time!

Thanks. I just want some sustainable job that's also tolerable. If I could only get full time at the libary, I'd be happy. 

I'm that way with books. I could leave off a book for months and it all comes back to me when I pick up where I left off.

I'm on the trail of the last orb in Dragon Quest XI. Actually I'm running around opening red doors first but I know where to go afterwards.

I wish I still had my Shadow Hearts games.  :(

That is actually what I am doing currently as well! That's too funny!

I played a little bit of Shadow Hearts years ago but dropped it because of gamer ADD. I am hoping to play through the entire series soon.

Covenant was the pinnacle but it almost demands that the first game is the first one you play. It will break your heart.

I've been playing Octopath Traveler on my lunch breaks.  I didn't like it at first, but it's getting better.

I'm looking forward to Mega Man 11, Soul Calibur 6, and Smash mostly.

Smash is going to be amazing! I also am looking forward to SC6 too!

Ocotopath took a little to grow on me as well - the grinding part though of it kills it for me at times because it makes it boring for me.

It's good to read that everything has calmed down since the summer. I've been ready for Autumn/Fall since the weather here first hit triple digits.

As for gaming, since the graphics card on the laptop decided it was time to retire I've decided to jump back into console/handheld games and the first one I've tackled is Spider-Man Edge of Time on the 3DS. With everyone talking Spider-Man on the PS4 I figured why not give a game I bought years ago a play. So far it isn't bad, but there are a lot of problems.
