But why? WHY??
Quick Hits: Stuff I Watched On Hulu, Periscope, And TV

So I need to type this up quickly because I have an idea for a project that I am working on and I’d like to jump into it. I should be doing that first, but I also have a couple of things I have on my head that I want to share with you good people and if I jump into my project I’ll forget it, so here we are. Kinda crazy but it is all good. So Pixlpeeps let’s get started with another Quick Hits.
Chris Watches…
So I’m starting to get my money’s worth out of Hulu by actually using it and to be honest I’m getting more use out of it than Netflix. The thing with Hulu I like is that new TV shows are available on it the next day after they air, and since I don’t have a DVR this is the next best thing. Here are some things I watched on Hulu
Raw/Smackdown: Thank goodness the most recent episodes are available here. On Tuesday I tend to wait for the Challenge and skip Smackdown but now I can enjoy WWE’s good product later in the week. Raw I do watch “live” (West Coast feed) but if I miss it, it is on Hulu.
Manifest: This is NBC’s new Science Fiction Drama about a plane that left Jamaica, and showed up in NYC 5 and a half years later, but time didn’t change for the people on the flight. It could be NBC’s Lost, and of course everyone has theories*.
*I think the main character is in a coma and all of this is just her dream
NBC ran a ton of promos and so far this show is interesting. I like it, I have no idea when it airs but thanks to Hulu I can watch it while eating lunch.
New Amsterdam: Another show NBC pushed the hell out of and I watched it yesterday instead of watching the first airing of local news and national news (I’m legit sick of the news and the constant bitching between the Democrats and Republicans. It’s like watching two little kids fight over a toy) Going back to this show, good lord did they pack a lot of storylines into this episode and holy cow NBC really wants to cry while watching this show. NBC is like here is story #1, you teary eyed yet? No? Ok here’s story #2, now think about both. Still no tears? Here’s story #3, etc. It’s a good show, I like the premise but let’s dial it back a bit on the drama.
Big Brother - CBS: The season ended and I can’t really complain about who won. Kaycee came on strong at the end of the season, and while Tyler played the better game I think he really didn’t justify himself to the jury about why he should win. I want to say it was also a bitter jury, and some of that may be true, he really didn’t point out why he’s a better winner. Overall I liked this season far more than the hot garbage that was BB19.
Japanese Baseball - Periscope: Who knew some games were on Periscope
This was before I switch to landscape and watched a couple of innings before going to sleep. I have to say Periscope has some usefulness when it comes to watching randoms sports, seeing different parts of the world, and there was one guy in Dubai who used to stream while he was driving around. User content on this platform is interesting and who doesn’t want to see what it’s like walking around or just being on the other side of the world?
Chris Reads…
Ok so at this point Goodreads says I am 3 books behind and well I should take care of that by reading some comics. I really shouldn’t view comics as a quick way to pad stats and more for their content but I kinda see it as both. They’re fun to read AND it pads my stats. Anyways a couple of nights ago I went back to the books on my iPad and I think my goal was to read about the the first appearance of Thanos or something and I finished reading an issue of Captain Marvel
First good timing with the new Captain Marvel trailer being released, so I’ll have some background to the story, and second, hey I can finally jump into all those Thanos stories and see if the Lego sets make sense to me (I still haven’t see the latest Avengers flick, but I’ve watched first Iron Man a couple of times because it’s been on TV, yet I own the DVD)
Going back to Captain Marvel it was an interesting start to this storyline, and I thought it was a little slow but that’s how stories like this usually are. It gives you some background before everyone fights and destroys a city block. There’s a lot more on my iPad and I’ll get to another issue later on today.
Randoms
There’s a neighborhood wide garage sale happening in a couple of weeks and I’ve decided to get rid of a lot of stuff including most of my records and some games. Of course this might change but right now this is the plan. I like records but I love CDs, and the records take up too much space. I’m going to trim down the collection to just must haves. I have some old rock LPs but I really don’t care about them. As for games, well I have way too much. I’ll probably get rid of some 360 titles and maybe PS3. It hurts but if I don’t use them why have them? I thought about doing the same with my NES and Genesis games but I like those because those are childhood items. Heck I might get rid of some sneakers as well. Hopefully there’s some kid/teen who will find treasure in the stuff I need to get rid of.
Pickups!
Nothing! I’m saving for a new gaming laptop. Actually I’m probably going to go to GameStop in an hour to pick up a Madden game. Probably not last year’s but maybe the year before, whichever one is $5 bucks. I need to start using my PS4.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!
