When I read the horse flipped you off, I got a pretty funny image. I'll play the game if THAT's one of the horse mechanics.
The Zen of Horse-riding in Red Dead 2

I've been playing A LOT of Red Dead 2. I haven't binged a game like this for a while. I'm really enjoying a lot of aspects of the game, but what I most like - similar to the first game - is just riding around on my horse. There's something just so calming and soothing about it. The horse-riding is very well done, better than the last Zelda by far. I love Zelda, don't get me wrong, but I think the horse mechanics are better here.
Early in the game, I stole a horse, and while I was riding away from the law, I must have run into a big rock or something, and my horse leapt into the air, and flipped me off, landing on its side. It thought it was going to die, but it got back up. I did lose my favorite horse yesterday in a random ambush. That was sad. Chris Yarger said he rode his favorite horse off a cliff and killed it.
It's very tempting to be an evil outlaw, but I've been maintaining a balance. Chris though tells me, "Fuck the law." He's gone ALL bad. Ha ha.
The world is exquisitely designed and is huge. There are a lot of things to do. It's easy to be distracted by coming across some stranger that needs help... or wants to rob and kill you.
Anyway, I've been enjoying it. In other news, I've decided I'm going to buy the new Pokemon game when it comes out in a few weeks. I've always wanted to get into them, and I think a Switch version is the perfect opportunity.
