Every Damn Fool

I had an interesting mission in Red Dead the other night. I was supposed to steal an oil wagon from the local refinery to use in stopping a train to rob. But when I went to the refinery, it was quite heavily guarded. I tried to get in, but was killed, and I suddenly realized - "I'm gonna have to kill every damn fool in there!" So I rode back to town, bought a long scope and high velocity bullets for my rifle, rode back, found a good sniping place, and proceeded to kill every damn fool in there.

It was a massacre. My rifle kicked butt. Afterwards I looted the bodies. I had blown up one of the oil wagons too, and the horses were lying in a bloody heap. I robbed the factory then, and found two leftover guards who got the business end of my sawed off shotgun. There wasn't much to steal though, unfortunately. I thought there would be some cash, but there wasn't.

So I stole the wagon at last and rode off. It was a good day, but I did have to use my AK.

I wouldn't do well at that game.  I wouldn't want to kill all those people.  I wish they would make less violent Rockstar style games.  The last one I played that was like that was Steambot Chronicles on the PS2.  Man that was an awesome game!

I kind of wish there were more Rockstar open world games but not necessarily violent too. I think a Nintendo game like that where it's open world and you can interact with nintendo characters would be pretty fun.

Sounds like the classic GTA experience, which is why I am often relunctant to play them. I just don't want to be that bad guy, even though I do similar things as a hero in other games. But, from a certain point of view, that is sure hilarious.

well, I didn't have to play the mission like that. Chris Yarger told me he waited until a guy took a oil wagon out on the road, and then he jumped on it and hijacked it. There are probably a lot of ways I could have played that mission, and that's why I like the game so much.

That's fantastic. Some many different ways to play it. The game is astonishing to me. It's so deep in gameplay and sophistication. I want to frame the thing on my wall, if that was possible.

The important question is did that day feel kinda odd? No barking from the dogs? No smog? And momma cooked the breakfast with no hog?

It certainly was a bad day for them!
