In my defense, I DID work on the recording for My Brother Rabbit yesterday, but when I went to edit it I noticed my laptop humming sounds like a jet plane constantly trying to land in the background when you listen through headphones.

Then I was up until literally 3 a.m. because while everyone was telling me the projections for the midterms, I was wanting to make sure.

So then I woke up way later today than I'd like to admit and I need to get my life together. At least I'll have work tomorrow to keep me sane and feeling like I'm doing something after this pretty much wasted day.

Other than that, I keep telling myself I'll get on NanoWrimo, but it's day 7 and I still only have 500 or so words from a spark of inspiration this past ... Sunday? What day is it anyway?

I feel that way about the days lately. My schedule is literally reversed from the usual M-F, 9-5, plus I have to get in class work whenever I can.

Yeah, I work Thurs-Sun, so my schedule is pretty weird as well. Granted, if I really wanted, I could hash everything out on Thursday, but I don't feel like it.

I'm like Sat-Mon for paid work and then school work M-F mostly in the mornings. I gotta get more paid work soon, can't do school forever.

I used to think I'd like doing school forever, but after a year of it, I think I'd rather work and do school on the side. There's nothing like putting your skills into actual practice. That's where it gives you real satisfaction.

I wonder why the laptop was being loud. Were you running other programs while recording?

The one blessing form my internet/cable not working during electon night was not knowing what was going on. I avoided it on my phone as well and spent the night watching random movies. A week later and they're still counting votes.

Adobe programs always give it a workout, so that was probably it, but I kinda need those open to work.

For whatever reason, while After Effects was crashing every 5 seconds yesterday, but Audition and Premiere are being lovely. Everything is updated, so who knows?

NANOWRIMO is tough, man. There's a reason it takes years to write a novel. And remember, once you have the first draft, that's just when the real work begins.
