As I sit here on a cool Monday morning, listening to bad hold music, waiting to talk to a representative about a time card issue I figure why not start on my Post Thanksgiving blog with you good people. It is 8:37am right now and when I finally talk to an actual person I’ll stop and then pickup after. Sound good? Well alright then, let’s get started on a kind of combo Quick Hits/What I’m Playing Leftovers Blog! Oh and before I forget Good Morning Pixlpeeps.
Black Friday Pickups Part II
Ok so after Thanksgiving lunch, the Cowboys game, and watching some Brooklyn Nine Nine it was 7pm and Walmart had been open for an hour. I usually wait an hour after opening so all the crazies that waited in line could rush through, get their cheap TVs, fight and leave. We waltzed in and overall the store was busy but not crazy, which is always good. The video games and movies/TV shows that were on sale were once again setup in the dairy section. It was busy but people were calm, and there was this one lady who was stockpiling DVDs in her cart. If she’s playing Santa, those people are going to have a good Christmas. The best thing for me was that everything I wanted was placed in this area so I was basically done with my shopping right here.
I got my $10 Supergirl Season 3 DVD. It seems like every year I get a season of Supergirl, so I have a mini tradition going. I also bought some batteries
They are 20,100 mAh batteries and I figure one for my phone, extra music player, and bluetooth headphones, and the other for the Switch and 3DS. They were $15 each, and they’re probably not the best but they’ll work for now. Pssst. I might complain about them later on.
I also bought a couple of inflatable Queen size beds for some family who are visiting next month, and Strawberry milk. The milk was my favorite purchase of the evening.
Next stop was GameStop and there really wasn’t a must buy here, but I did buy this game because it was $10 and it looked like something I would enjoy on the Switch
I have it on Steam, but I will probably play more of it on the Switch.
I bought this game the night before Thanksgiving from iTunes
More on this in a bit.
The stuff I ordered arrived on the weekend. One of them was two days early. We’ll start with that one first. From Target and their $7 sale
It would have been nice for Target to sell me the Camila Target Edition with that extra song, but apparently they didn’t have any. I’m still happy with both albums. They were supposed to arrive today (Monday) but they were at my doorstep on Saturday afternoon.
From Amazon my other order arrived but on Sunday
My Koss headphone case and replacement headphone cushions.
Here are my Portapros inside the case. The case is the side of two hockey pucks and solid.
Chris Plays…
LA Noire - Switch: So I started my first case and this is how it went the first 10 minutes. I get a call to investigate a murder, my partner and I look for a gun, find gun, climb to rooftop, and get a glitch where I am stuck in a corner because I thought I could climb up a pole. After this I was done for the day. We’ll try again in a little bit.
WWE Supercard - iOS: I’m officially stepping away from this game, but I’ll do so in a couple of days, I’ll explain. So after our latest Team Battleground I was burned out and I figured after this event I was going to leave the group, but half the group left and then the owner promoted me to owner of the group. I had two options, keep the group going and search for more Team Battleground events, or just disband. I chose disband because I don’t want the responsibility, and frankly I’m over grinding in this game. I’m waiting for a couple of days because I currently have the Gobbledy Gooker card currently being forged and in a couple of days of constant check-ins I get a Goliath pack which has one Goliath card, and a couple of other cards. I figure I’ll come back to the game again in a couple of months but I want to have my cards ready.
Pocket City - iOS: I saw people talking about this game on Reddit, and I think even the developers were on there promoting the game, so when it hit $1.99 again I bought it. I have to say it is a lot of fun and it is kind of like Sim City except a lot more forgiving. The game tutorial is simple, teaches you how to play while in the game, and then you are off and running on building a city. You have quests to complete that are given by various people in town, and with each level you unlock more options like upgraded power, services like police, and fire, and all kinds of goodies. There is a meter that shows the town’s need for housing, commercial, and industry and if you run out of space you can always buy land from this farmer looking guy. This is what my first city looked like on the iPad
I played a bunch on the iPad, but then I started a new city on my phone because since I’ll be out and about and will have time to kill at some points why not have a different town there and use some of the experience I have with the previous city.
Oh you know the grass is green and the girls are pretty.
This might be my new favorite game on iOS. Speaking of iOS I really should finish Space Marshalls 2.
Alright Pixlbit, it is 9:23am. I hung up on being on hold, and then called back and guess what, nothing’s changed. Oh well. Monday’s….
Have a good week Pixlbit!
That’s all for now, more later!
