First off,the good. Going to see Fleetwood Mac tonight at the BOK Center. It will be the second time my wife and I have seen them together. I saw them on the first reunion tour back when I lived in St. Louis. That show was special because Christine McVie was involved with it.
Lindsey Buckingham's guitar work is the main draw for me,as well as the vocal chemistry he has with Stevie Nicks. Both are incredibly talented on their own,but together are just amazing.
Now for the bad. Bought this game for two dollars at a pawn shop yesterday. That is the only "redeeming" quality it has! I'd played one of these on Gamecube once, and do not remember it stinking to high heaven. But this is a pile of poo. I heard somewhere that Wayward was halfway decent, but I don't know. Sometimes I take a chance when the disk and case are in new condition like this one was. If I had payed 10 for it i would be highly PO'd with myself right now.
And I most certainly can't forget the "meh" item of the day today. Defiance is a pretty cool show that is slowly growing on me. Not bad for the SyFy channel, home of such oddities as Sharktopus and other horrible films. Sometimes they are so silly it's fun to watch them. But this project is kinda cool in that it is going along with a game release. Don't know if the game is any good, but I like the show. Mainly for the acting on the part of the women. Really strong female characters all around, the heroes and the villains of the story.
I've read that the events in the game don't follow the show exactly. That's okay with me,because it might get boring if that were the case. I'll have to do some more research on it before I buy the game. I've never been much for MMO's of any kind. But this might be my first one.
What I'm listening to today.....no big surprise!

I've heard Defiance isn't that great.... but who knows, it might depend on your like of the show and the integration, who knows.
Enjoy the show. I've always respected Fleetwood Mac but never really got into them. They did that "Landslide" song, right?

I've been hearing the same things about the Defiance game. May have botched the whole thing up from what some say. Fleetwood Mac is definitely one of those bands that if you were not around when Rumours was released is hard to get. They were on the radio constantly all through my youth thru high school even. Amazing they are still performing together after all they have been through as a band.

I had the the first three Hunter games, and they were only good if you had a friend to play with.
The first was by far my favorite though. If you just want to play the game for 'story' purposes, then play as the priest. His Light Ray technique destroys everything!!

My son refused to play this one! He remembers the last game and did not care for it at all. I will give it a go,just to see if it gets better.

I do like fleetwood mac. Currently "never going back again" is my favourite song from them. I played a demo for the ps2 hunter: the reckoning game and enjoyed that. Not sure if I will ever give defiance a chance, too many other things that i could like to spend my time on.

Time is a big factor for me,too. The older I get the more I realize that time is worth more to me than money. Never could imagine being one of those people who become absorbed in World Of Warcraft or such games. Tunnel vision does not pay off to me as a gamer.

12 times! Wow,you're a lucky man to do that. Christine McVie retired from performing a while back, before their last tour. But they still ask her each time out if she wants to do it again. It's not about money for any of them now,I think they are just having fun playing the songs together.

Hunter Wayward was "aight" but honestly, redeemer is the "better sequel" according to most critics. Aka, if you didn't like redeemer I would not suggest picking up wayward. At the end of the day both games are rather bland & average isometric action rpgs. Better examples of the genre are Marvel Ultimate Alliance, X-men Legends, and Champions Of Norrath: Return to arms!

I came close to buying Champions Of Norrath when I was on my vacation buying spree. It was only 5 bucks! Should have grabbed it then. I hear lots of good things about Marvel Ultimate Alliance,so I may check that one out. XBOX games in general are just not doing much for me lately. But I still keep that big black beast in good working order.

I wanted to put up some video from the Tulsa show back in 2009. But it was all blurry and sounded terrible. It was such a great show. Tonight should be awesome as well.

It's an interesting concept, but the delivery may have become too directed by folks who don't even play games. That's usually a recipe for disaster!

Yes I agree. I think some games now a days try for that epic feeling and fall very short.

Never was a Fleetwood Mac fan. Didn't help that my little sister played Gypsy over and over and over again, singing off-key the whole time. As for the others, I'm not familiar with either the game or the TV show.
