It crashes all the time, it takes ten minutes after waking to sign on to the wireless, the mousepad is broken, and the damn bottom is peeling off. Arg! What a mistake. Well, sometime this year I'm gonna get a new computer. I've been thinking of getting a new Mac Mini. They're not too expensvie, and I need dependability. We'll see.

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday!

Mac Mini is interesting. Looks like you can get one for $500. I think my next computer will be a tablet or 2-in-1 thing.

I’m really considering a desktop of some sort. i mostly use my iPad for everything so a laptop would be redundant.

Wow. Reviews online seem good. My ASUS ROG has luckily not had the keyboard issue lately and games and apps have mostly run well on it, usually the apps themselves being the problem when crashes do happen.

That sucks, man. PC is such a weird market.

Asus makes pretty good machines. Should have bought one of those.

Eeeerm. Look at their customer service reviews before you say that.

Sorry you've had so many problems man, it really sucks to hear. I'd definitely recommend a desktop for your next machine. It'll allow you to replace parts if need be and you can have something that'll last. I feel like laptops are just made to break.

Mac Mini isn't a bad choice either, especially if you'd prefer OS X.

Depending on how much money I’m able to put into it, I’m either going to get the Mac mini, or a gaming desktop. Definitely a desktop. I basically do everything on my iPad now, including writing and editing, so I don’t need a laptop. I just need a dependable computer.

Happy new year!

My son has an Asus and we've never had a problem with it. ... and as the guy who would have to deal with it I should know.

Macs are fine as long as you know how to work with OS X but don't think you're going to be playing windows games on it unless you spring for VMware Fusion so that you can run Windows as a client.

Even then a Mac Mini isn't not designed to play games on.

I’ve used macs before, and yes, it wouldn’t be for gaming. I just had a lot of problems with my laptop crashing when I write, and then losing a lot and having to rewrite what I just wrote. That has to stop.

Damn dude that sucks. The Mac Mini's are nice, I watched some YouTube vids about the new one that was released and it's a solid system.

I just waited until I found an okay CyberpowerPC game as a daily deal or she'll shocker on Newegg.  It was $500, had pretty good specs for that money, and I could upgrade various things over time with various other shell shocker deals.  It has worked out great, and was cheap.
