Blog a Day #5

Hello everyone, how are you? The PS3 was my very first HD system. I pretty much had a Wii for a very long time and it wasn't till 2010 that I finally got an HD system. Since then I have tried a lot of great games on the system, but despite that there are still games that I forgot to check out. So here are the PS3 games I still want to get, before they go out of print...

Alice: Madness Returns: I have never played the first game, but I have always been interested in this one. The premise of the game has always sounded really interesting to me. The game features a twisted version of Wonderland, I've seen images of it and it looks really damn cool. I think the game has gone up in price unfortunately. But I do see the prices for it go up and down from time to time. I think it's only a matter of waiting for the right opportunity to buy it when I think the price is low enough to purchase.

Dead Space 2: I played Dead Space back in 2017 and I remember hearing about how scary it was. It wasn't. Disturbing? Yeah, maybe? But it was a pretty fun game. I hear that the sequel vastly improves on the original and always hear how great it is and it's a game on many's top scariest horror games. Will it scare me? No. I don't think it will. But do I want to play it? Yes I do. I know people love to hate on EA, me too, but I really can't fault the developers of these games when they are working under EA. 

Lollipop Chainsaw:  What do you get from the collaboration between Suda51 and James Gunn? You get none other than Lollipop Chainsaw. This one is a hack and slash game in which you fight zombies. It may sound like something that has been done before, but I can assure you that when it comes to Suda51, you know the game is going to be crazy. I honestly don't know why I haven't checked it out yet. I was really excited for it back when it was first announced but I guess like many game it fell off my radar.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: It's a pretty interesting name? Well as far as I know, this game has you play as Raiden. If you've played MGS2 then you should be very familiar with that name. This one is a spin-off and it takes place after MGS4, which is pretty much all I know. I hear that it's really fun too. I tend to avoid spoilers for these games if it's games I haven't played and plan on getting. Speaking of MGS4...

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots: This is what I consider the big one. That and know it takes up a ton of storage space. This game is over 10 years old and believe it or not, but I haven't tried it. I think I remmeber seeing a gameplay video on it many many years ago way before I got a PS3 and remember thinking that it looked really cool. So far I've been really good at avoiding spoilers for it, but maybe it's finally time I get it. My PS3 looks like it may not last that much longer so might as well make its very last game a good one.

And those are all the PS3 games I'm missing and would like to get. I would like to retire my PS3 actually, it looks like it may not last much longer. It is really old, it's one of the Slim models and it has lasted for a very long time. I have pretty much stopped using it and I think it's been a year since I last turned it on. Unless I get a replacement that is since there are games I would love to revisit. I wish the PS4 allowed you to play PS3 games, I would have easily paid $50-100 more for that feature.
