No, not the ice cream. That would be good. Today at work was rough while things are still in transition. Hoping it all sorts out soon because it's been pretty frustrating. Putting that aside, today I want to talk gaming stuff.

I picked up Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin on the PS4 for PSVR. I got Chessa a PSVR for Christmas and we really love Psychonauts, so seeing it on sale for $4 made it an easy and exciting purchase. Now that the kids are in bed, we're about to give it a go.

Last week I finally started Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which I referred to in my first BaD blog. The first level was pretty cool, though it's going to take some getting used to. I was into the zaniness and I'm sure I'll get the gameplay down pat after some more play time.

Outside of that, not much going on since yesterday. Oh, I did finally finish open sourcing all the latest development tooling that I've built at work, which you can see here. I also got my angular 7 library published to npm, which I'm pretty happy about too. And yes, it's all called Wily, after good ol' Dr. Wily from Mega Man.

Anything in transition is frustrating in my experience. I hate change! It makes me yell at clouds!

Let us know how Psychonauts turns out. I still need to finish the first one. Got stuck on the Phantom of the Theater boss.

I might take a look at the open source stuff after I've finished a Code School class or two.

The change here is especially hard. It's a very old organization that's been around for 33 years with very little change. Anything that's different really seems to piss people off.

It'll be alright though, I just need to calm down and let things progress. Patience isn't always my strong suit, but I need to exhibit some and I'm sure it will be rewarded.

Super cool that you're in a code course! I obviously love it and would love others to scope out my code and either improve it or contribute to it. Open source rules.

Errr... More that I'm thinking of doing a Code course in the same way I've been thinking of packing to move into my friend's place since Monday. Clock is almost up though, which for me means auto-turbo mode (this is why I initially asked about review schedules; I am a lazy son of a bitch without a deadline on my ass and a Type A personality with one; eventually, guilt and shame set a deadline).

Hope things start smoothing out at work. As much as I don't like change, I embrace it when I know it needs to happen and means I can improve. Not everyone i've worked with is quite like that though. I'm imagining the (awesome but still talking newspapers in a modern journalism course, which is nuts) tenured professor I worked next door to as your clientele and .. Godspeed, man.

I tried some VR at my local computer shop. It was really augmented reality but it was still cool. I don't like wearing that headset for long though.

I definitely don't love wearing the headset for long either. Very uncomfortable and it seems to give me headaches. Certain games have really triggered motion sickness for me, which isn't super surprising because rides like Star Tours do that to me too.

If you get a chance to try full VR, definitely give it a shot. It's definitely a novelty.

We have it in my library's tech center. They do demonstrations of it (Oculus Rift I think) for the public regularly. I should go to one.

the PSVR might not be top of the line, but it does have some great experiences.

Agreed, Matt. It's not the best one on the market, but for the price as an entry level investment, it's pretty great. It's really accessible and they make it simple, which I appreciated. Now I just need to try RE7!

RE7 gave me motion sickness. I mean, I got REALLY sick. I think it was the 3D movement coupled with the low frame rate, I'm not sure. I tried it twice, and while it was really cool, I just got so ill.

Damn. That's a bummer to hear, but I can believe that it might be rough for me too based on WipEout. I'll have to try it out later.
