Anyone watch that YouTube show Madness? I wanted Metroid Prime to go further, but I guess I should play Resident Evil. No one ever talks about RE3 ...

Why does no one ever talk about Resident Evil 3? People talk about the REmake. RE2 is in the news obviously. RE4 gets praise. 5 and 6 get shit. 0 gets good marks. Hell, I at least have heard Code Veronica mentioned several times. But I have never heard anything about 3, good or bad.

I hear about it sometimes, usually either about Nemesis (you don't see invincible enemies that chase you through a game very often) or Jill's clothing choices (what was she thinking??). I'll be shocked if Capcom doesn't at least give it a boxed remaster.

Capcom considered the "real" RE3 to be Code: Veronica. RE3 was originally a spinoff, and was retitled as RE3 to satisfy an exclusivity agreement with Sony. Given that it was released when the PS1 was on its way out, and in the same time frame as the Dreamcast and bigger games like Final Fantasy VIII, RE3 kind of got lost in the shuffle.

I want to play Code Veronica.

I heard some talk of RE3 on Game Informer's podcast this week. I think it's not quite as highly regarded as the first two and especially not 4, but I think it's in the running for a remake.
