Howdy everyone! Just quickly checking in. As it turns out, with everything going on today, I totally forgot to post for today earlier! What to report...

I played more Travis Strikes Again and I've just reached the sixth Death Ball game, which is based on Shadows of the Damned. There was a really cool lead in trailer after booting it up in the game that takes place after the events of the original game. Not sure what the gimmick of it will be, but it started with a pretty brutal arena fight that thankfully had a save point right after it. I'll keep playing a bit before bed tonight and hopefully see what makes this part of the game unique.

In other news, I'm pretty excited for Sunday night as I'll be seeing Andy McKee perform live up in Saratoga! He's an amazing fingerstyle guitarist and I've been a fan of his after seeing him on YouTube what must be around 13 years ago. He has many more albums now and everything he's done has been excellent. I used clips from his songs for PixlTalk many years ago, and if you happen to follow him on social media, he talks about games often and is a definite enthusiast.

I'll report back on Monday about both the concert and Travis Strikes Again. Enjoy your weekend!

I think Adam McKee might be the guy I saw playing some special guitar that was basically all the instruments? Forget what song, but I want to say it was by SOAD for some reason?

Also, I've never heard your voice, so maybe I'll check out these pixltalks.

He does play harp guitar, but that's more like a guitar and a bass together. He uses the body of the guitar to do percussion, so in a way it's like he plays all of the instruments. I think the only cover songs he's done of non-fingerstyle guitarists are Africa and Everybody Wants to Rule the World.

Luca Stricagnoli is another fingerstyle guitarist and he does all sorts of crazy covers, so maybe he's the one you're thinking of. Though I can't remember if he's covered SOAD.

Also, my voice is annoying (as am I), but you're free to torture yourself with old PixlTalk episodes.

It could have been Africa ... I'm beginning to think it was Africa. I really need to look this up.

Shadows of the Damned. That was the game I was trying to remember. I want to play that.

I love that game! If you're into Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami worked on it with Suda51. It bears a lot of similarities in terms of its gameplay to Resident Evil 4. Attitude, characters, and story is all Suda though.

Yea, the story is totally wacko, which I like.

Andy McKee! I forgot he existed. It's crazy to listen to one of his songs and then watch a video of him playing it. Seeing him live would be pretty awesome.

I'd totally recommend seeing him live if you get the opportunity. He was honestly amazing. And in playing the songs live, he fancied them up even more. It's impressive that even at his level of skill he can continue to improve. There's a mastery of the instrument there that's beyond my understanding. It was truly a joy to watch him perform.

I like fingerstyle guitar playing. Very cool.

I love it too, Matt. If you're hankering for some, head to YouTube and look up Candyrat Records. Tons of amazing fingerstyle guitarists are on that label all doing phenomenal music.

I'll look that up. I recently subscribed to Apple Music so I can basically download anything now.

I've almost picked up the Travis Strikes Again game twice. I haven't played Shadows of the Damned yet but I own one or two copies. LOL

I haven't written the review yet, but I will say that if you like Suda51 or No More Heroes, I absolutely recommend it!

Also, you should totally play Shadows of the Damned first! It's super awesome and apparently you already have, twice! Wink
