I guess I had my Original Xbox for a while before Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell came out. This, more than any other game - to me - showed off the graphic possibilities of that generation of consoles. Not only that, but I had never really played a "stealth" game before, and the gameplay was entirely new to me. I love how you could use your gadgets or whatever in different ways to solve missions. I also loved the night vision, that was cool.

I was obsessed with this game for a while, and got great enjoyment out of playing it. Strangely, I've never really played any of the sequels, though I've heard some of them are pretty good. I think if they released a new one and it was well reviewed I'd probably buy it.

The game had some great locations and lighting effects, and I can still remember prowling around in it. That the lead character was voiced by legendary B-Actor Michael Ironside was a huge plus.

I don't play stealth games too much anymore, but I do own a copy of the last Hitman game I bought during a PSN sale and I recently re-downloaded it to try it out. When it's done right, stealth can be a lot of fun.

Splinter Cell was a lot of fun.

Yeah I remember seeing the first E3 trailer for the game. Was mad impressive at the time. I knew I had to play it. I bought an Xbox for this game and KOTOR.

I remember Splinter Cell looking so real when it came out.

Ha ha. Yes it did. Doesn't look so real anymore!

Stealth moments can be very satisfying but I hate failing them. Return to the beginning and do it again. Grrrr.

Very true.

There were several long stealth segments in Order 1886 that nearly made me quit. They aren't badly done, I just don't like repeating areas. Luckily they don't set you too far back if you fail.

I played a lot of the PS2 version but I used a cheat disc, the kind you swap out with the real game so you can have unlimited everything and not have to be so stealthy. After playing Space Marshalls 2, I bet if I went back and played these Sam Fisher games again I would enjoy the stealth gameplay.

I dug this game a lot. I wish I had played the other ones when they came out.
