Don't invite your friend to something and then YOU bail. Shit. Oh well, at least I got to see Suzane... *Googles* Senna talk about her time at a local Dallas station, E! Entertainment, Fox News, and The Onion. She has a coaching business now I guess. Good for her.

I also went to a career fair on the university campus I used to teach at. A former student gave me name tag advice. Many people I talked with thought I was a student or openly commented I looked too young to have been a professor. Wow! Fuck people! Despite the awkwardness, it may have given me a couple good leads though, so I have that going for me.

Otherwise, I'm still watching 2 episodes of The Wire every night this week to finish season 5 by Friday. There are other things I could be doing, but nope. This.

Well, I have to wake up stupid early to run, so good night.

I guess I can't get too mad at being mistaken for being younger, but every time it happens it's as if all the work I did on that Master's, the two and a half years of teaching at a university, etc. is just gone and I'm reduced to a kid in the eyes of someone MAYBE 3 years my senior (hell, sometimes 3 years my junior and looks older), and I just don't see 28/29 as all that different from 31/32. *Sigh*

I just had someone ask me if I was retired or not today. What the? I'm already feeling too old to switch careers, Thoughts like that don't help. I don't think I look that old either. Maybe I should dye my hair.
