Ok so I skipped yesterday because I do have somewhat of a good excuse. I was busy and by the time I had time to do some bloggin’ I was exhausted and thought eating and sleeping was a better option. Sorry folks. Well I am here today so let’s get started
For this week I am going with Songs That Remind Me Of…. Since this is a short week I thought I would do some BaD Bonus because why end BaD on Thursday? So to start, here is my favorite song for Monday
This song reminds me of the summer I spent living in Anaheim and working at Disneyland for their College Program. I didn’t have my car at this point so I would catch the bus on Broadway, in front of the apartment, hop off on Harbor, and get dropped out right in front of Disneyland. I had my trusty CD Player and I would listen to the American Pie Soundtrack and this is one of those songs that stuck with me.
And Tuesday
This song reminds me of Padres games while in college. When the Padres still played at Qualcomm the music guy would play this song when the opponent's manager or someone made a trip to the mound. It was fun just sitting there with a bag of seeds, a hot dog, enjoying the weather, and people around just talking having a good time, and enjoying the game.
-So I finished Titanfall over the weekend and that is one fun ride. My wild, little to no strategy worked for the most part, I kinda breezed through the parts where you have to wall run to wall run but then the game throws in a shooting aspect to it and I was quickly humbled. I eventually adapted and actually used some strategy at the end but overall I played a little wild, a shoot first mentality that may have involved trying to take down a robot that I found out was on my squad.
The thing that bugged me with the game was the end (no spoilers). I saw this ending before with another EA shooter so it didn’t have the same effect on me but I enjoyed it. What is up with the credits screen that can’t be skipped. I enjoyed the game, let me hit triangle so I can turn the PS4 off and go do something else. It’s annoying.
-I started playing God of War and well first impressions are that I don’t like the game. What happened to lovable Kratos who’s anger and guilt fueled his rage at everyone in front of him causing red and green orbs to appear and combos flourish? The pace is slow, it’s more story, and now he has a kid (I kind of like anger filled Kratos try to be a dad). I just started on the quest and well everything before it lost my interest. We’ll see if this changes.
-I’m still building up my team in Football Heroes Turbo and I’ve decided to tank the championship game in Season 3 so I can’t be sent back down a bit so I can grind, raise my salary cap, upgrade my players and then run wild until I get stuck in another section and repeat the process. I also changed the team name and team colors. My squad went from the West Canaan Coyotes from Varsity Blues to bootleg Dallas Cowboys by being called the Dallas AMERICASTEAM. Silver helmets, white jersey, greenish-silver pants with the Cowboy hat as a logo. My first game as the AMERICASTEAM and the game glitched on me. We’ll try again after lunch.
-I also started up Redout on the PS4. I’ve played a bunch on Steam but I’m starting on the console and other than playing on the TV, it’s still the same game. Disney Emoji Blitz has now fully switched over to Jam City which means there’s a new splash screen.
Well that’s my gaming update, have a good one!
That’s all for now, more tomorrow!
-Chris

I don't know if I'd have the lyrics "Say you'll stay" in reference to Monday, but it's a good song. lol In fact, this is one of those cases where I have not heard the song in ages or have much of a memory of it, but now I'm like "Wait, I know I used to hear that a lot!"
That Beatles song is a hilarious choice for opponent trips to the mound.
Yeah, to be honest I got through a decent bit of God of War, but it's been kind of a slog, and having not played the other games, that has nothing to do with nostalgia.

Haha yeah that lyric is more of a Sunday lyric. I like songs like that where you haven't heard them in forever, listen to them and remember about how it was overplayed. Of course for me I will then listen to it non stop for a bit.
Padres music guy had a good sense of humor.
You should try the God Of War games. It's pretty much the same game play throughout the series, except for the original that was a little clunky, but that was fixed in the second game.

I have GoW III via PS+, but I played it for a bit and quickly got stuck on a puzzle and started up something else. I'll go back at some point.

I like the guitar in that Beatles song.
I didn't like God of War much either. I want the old style Kratos too and a whole lot of chain-blade swinging.

The guitar is solid in that song.
That's when God of War was fun. I didn't like the last one on PS3 where he had different weapons that you unlocked but I appreciate the developers trying something new.

I think it was GOW 3 that had some of the best fighting, but there wasn't enough of it because of all those cinematic quick-time-events and cutscenes. 1 and 2 are where it's at.

I watched my brother play Titanfall 2 a couple Xmas's ago. Great game. But I heard they're not working on a new one right now. I think theyr'e working on a star wars game instead.

Shame they are not working on a new one, but if there's a Star Wars game that plays like Titanfall, I'm ok with it. Throw in a light saber with my Wild, little to no strategy game play and I would be happy.
