Fret not, as BESO is coming. And that's not for kiss in Spanish.
It stands for Blog Ever So Often... which is what most of you already do. I might do it too. It depends on my procastination.
As I was writing this blog I realised Amazon took out the Highlander TV series... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I wasn't even done with season 2 UGH. They still have the Raven spinoff... ew. I won't mind watching it, but I was never much a fan of the character Amanda. Started watching Heroes haha.
In terms of games I've been playing through a few demos on the Switch. A few of the colour based nonograms (a.k.a. picross), Awesome Pea, Octahedron, Xenon Valkyrie, and Katamari Damacy.
The first nonogram I tried was Piczle Colors. It was alright for simple/small puzzle sets, but I wasn't keen on the ruleset that on each row/column the colored pixels aren't in any particular order. It works I guess.
The other 2 nonograms are more orderly: Pic-a-Pix Pieces, and Pic-a-Pix Deluxe. I guess from the Pic-a-Pix series. They require you to set colours as they are asked to. If they're the same colour you can't set them side-by-side, but otherwise you can. I like the way it works. Pieces is about completing puzzles that complete a bigger puzzle. Deluxe is just sets of individual puzzles. Personally I preferred Deluxe. Might decide to get it at some point.
Awesome Pea is a simple, subpar platformer. Pass.
Now an interesting platformer is Octahedron. The character you play as creates a limited number (ruled by each level, as well as their characteristics) of platforms underneath his feet, and once you've used them up they will regenerate right back. Music is good, and adds to the geometric colour frenzy of each level.
Xenon Valkyrie is a simple, subpar action-platformer. I think it's a rogue type, not sure. You can pick one of three characters. Each with their own attributes. Eh.
Katamari Damacy was ok. It had a 4 minute limit to it, and I didn't like the controls. Maybe I needed a bit more time with the controls.
For a later blog I will post about the demos that I still have to try out: Daemon X Machina, Pokemon Let's Go, and Yoshi's Crafted World.
So here's my last Witcher 3 screenshot dump for BAD. I will post more of them ever so often, but I just wanted to catch up before I regularly do that. Also I have an album that has a lot more shots than I've shown here, so please browse at your own leisure: Witcher 3 Album.
