Nothing else has made me jump on a Switch purchase, but Tetris 99 might seriously do it ... that's what I'd be saying if I was fully employed at the moment.

Games Beaten
-Cave Story+
I feel that calling Cave Story a Metroidvania—which is the context in which I heard of it—is misleading. There is very little backtracking and only health upgrades are permanent. But it is a very fun, well-designed 2D action platformer with great pixel art and a catchy soundtrack. I'm annoyed that you can lock yourself out of the best ending midway through the game, but it's not like the game is that long anyway and I'll gladly replay it...sometime lol.
Games Bought
February was a smattering of random purchases. I picked up Endless Ocean (Wii) at Goodwill because I thought my sea animal-obsessed son would like it but I think it's a little too chill for him, and it has a surprising amount of reading. My wife bought Just Dance 2017 (Wii U) for a couple bucks, which I thought was redundant at first because we already have the 2018 version, but apparently 2017 was the last year before Ubisoft moved to a subscription model for the game, so there are a lot more songs on the disc. Last year I remember everyone going on about how cool Yoku's Island Express (Switch) was—it's the Metroidvania pinball mail delivery game—and last month I found it on Amazon for $15 new. It's $20 for the digital version! So I snapped that up. I bought Adventure Time: Finn & Jake Investigations (3DS) 'cause it was cheap and supposedly decent. Lastly, I downloaded Tetris 99 (Switch), which is free, but it's really cool. I've been playing that a lot. So far 19th is the highest I've gotten in this crazy battle royale puzzle extravaganza.
February was the last month to include PS3 and Vita games in PS+. Let's observe a moment of silence.
...
It wasn't a bad month either. On PS4 we got Hitman - The Complete First Season, which I hear is really good (I know our own Julian Titus is a big fan), and For Honor. People like that one too, right? I guess? I like the looks of Gunhouse (PS4/Vita), a puzzle X tower defense game. It looks very silly. Rogue Aces (PS4/Vita) is some kind of flyin' an' shootin' game and I usually like stuff like that. (I hope that, moving forward, Sony still let's us have all the versions of a game when it's available on multiple systems.)
Now Playing
-Metro 2033 Redux (PS4)
I thought I'd plow through this game in a week or two but life has been nuts and I'm still just halfway through. It's cool though.
-Tetris 99 (Switch)
This game gets pretty crazy! I've made it to 19th, which I think is pretty good. I doubt I'll ever win a round though.
A friend sent me this youtube video (not of him lol) when he saw I was playing Tetris 99. This guy is a Tetris god!
-Destiny 2 (PS4)
A new season is getting ready to start with a lot of cool new stuff coming to Gambit, the cool PvEvP mode. I'm looking forward to it.
-Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3)
Still making slooooow progress through Inferno.
