Played Some, Skipped Some, And A Review (Kinda)!

Well good morning Pixlpeeps! Before I grab some breakfast let’s go over what I did and didn’t play this past week. I got a new toy this weekend so I didn’t spend a lot of time gaming but more on that on Friday, but for now let’s get started.

Played:

Football Heroes Turbo - Switch: I tanked the Championship games in S3, and S2, just so I can run wild in Season 1, earn some XP, coin and pad the stats. I then played through S2 and now S3 is where my team should be. I need about three thousand more points to raise my salary cap and add another silver player to my defense. I’ve been stockpilling players on my bench so I can add them to the starters ASAP.

Disney Emoji Blitz - iOS: I unlocked three new emojis. Other than that, nothing much.

NCAA Football 14 - PS3: I got back into it, nothing special.

Did Not Play:

God Of War - PS4: I really have no desire to get back into it. I mean it will probably open up to the game that resembles what I played in the past but for right now, I really don’t want jump into this game.

Want To Play:

First Person Shooters: I have a couple on Steam and that I haven’t used Steam in awhile. I also saw that commercial for the new Division 2. I liked the first game even if I went into the multiplayer zone outgunned (think everyone had machine guns, and I showed up with a super soaker with no water)

Chris Reviews Stuff…

So last week I received a new accessory for the Switch when it is used in handheld mode (for me it’s 100% of the time)

01

Now the reason why I wanted something like this is because the Switch doesn’t feel as solid as it should when in portable mode. There are a couple of times when I hold the Switch by one side and connection between JoyCon and tablet feels almost cheap to me. I mean right now it’s solid but what about in a year or two? Also I had these thin rubber grips on the JoyCons that would bunch up around the face when playing a game. The rubber grips made holding the thin flat sides of the Switch comfortable but the cosmetics of having the rubber bunch up in the front bothered me. I stumbled upon this while browsing Amazon and $15 later I got something that solved both of my issues with the handheld.

02

Why get gray to match the Switch when you can get obnoxious lime green? (Fast and Furious shifting sounds)

The product is made from a plastic that is a more sturdy material than the rubber grips that I had before but don’t interfere with the face of the Switch. It’s one piece design gives me the solid feel that I want in a portable while giving me the option take it off in seconds if I ever decide to use the dock (I have no idea where I put the dock)

The back has holes to help cool the Switch, at least that’s what the description says. Unlike my previous face cover I had no access to the Switch stand but I miss how sturdy my stand felt compared to the one used by Nintendo. At least I have easy access to the SD card.

03

The cutouts for the ports are clean and leave a lot of room around it.

04

Hey there’s my shirt!

There really is no front screen protection other than a thin lip of the grip.

Overall I like this grip. It feels more robust than just a plain Switch, which could very well be just a placebo but it makes gaming on the Switch a lot more comfortable. So for the $15 I’d say it is worth it. If you have a younger one using the handheld I would get something much more sturdy but if you use the Switch on the couch like I do that it’s perfect.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I finished my Hot Chocolate, and I am ready to eat. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

Guess we're about the same on God of War.

A couple of days ago I turned on the PS4 in hopes of wanting to play the game...and I started up Spotify instead.

I still need a grip for my phone. I can't seem to find one that fits it.

Amazon. If it's not there, eBay. There seems to be cases for all phones on eBay.
