ESWAT, for the Sega Genesis, is one of those games that sound really cool when you're eleven years old - a cop in mech armor fighting criminals. Well. It's not a great game, but it was part of my youth, and I remember it well. I never got very far in it, getting bored of its repeitive gameplay, but my younger brother beat the fuck out of it.
It starts slow, as you don't get the mech suit until like the third level. In the beginning, you're just a cop with a pistol. It's pretty crappy at that point. However, once you get the mech suit it's a lot more fun.
As far as action platformers go, ESWAT could be a lot worse. But, it could also be a lot better. It's very much like a late 80s arcade game like Bad Dudes where you just scroll from left to right, beating enemies, and hitting "Continue" over and over. Plan to die a lot.
But, it is fun sort of, if you're into that sort of thing.
