Long Time, No Blog

It has been a couple of weeks since I have entered any blogs here and well I haven’t been playing games. In fact the majority of my free time has been dedicated to ripping CDs (big shock). I have been playing the usual two games that I stick with along with a scared check of GTA but we shall get into that in a bit.

NBA 2K18 - Switch

I think I talked about it before that I am using the 76ers because they have a solid core of young talent and I can add some vets from Free Agency to make them really good. When I started the Franchise it was the offseason and I had I believe three 1st Round picks, one was a Lottery Pick. I drafted Mikal Bridges as my SG of the future. At this point I have SG, SF, and C set for the future. With the other 2 picks I went with depth because there wasn’t a solid PG left. I traded away a couple of players for 1st round picks in the next draft and let some other players go in Free Agency. Since I turn off the cap I could freely spend but I only offered the max deal to Blake Griffin, which solidified my need at PF, and I signed Derrick Rose to a 2 year deal, giving me stability and scoring at the point. I added Serge Ibaka for some dirty work in second unit and Danilo Gallinari for 3point shooting.

As the season started it was rocky and they were .500 so I fired the coach, hired a coach with an A rating in potential, and traded away the backup PG for Vince Carter and JR Smith using the trade finder feature. Both are on 1 year deals so they are Free Agents at the end of the season. I also traded my backup Center for a 1st Round pick in the next season’s draft and for C Festus Ezeli. I figured you get a Center with similar skills and a pick. I eventually traded Ezeli for C Dwight Howard and PG Spencer Dinwiddle. My bench is now solid and is made up of mercenaries with 1 or 2 year deals so in theory I could always just reload. I also have 4 1st round picks, and currently the Sixers are on a 10 game win streak. I'm going to try and draft a PG, and with the other picks either trade them for future 1st Round picks or new players for my bench.

-I’m still playing Disney Emoji Blitz and there’s nothing really going on just me trying to get to level 200 so I can unlock the next Special Emoji.

-I also read on Reddit that there was problems logging into Grand Theft Auto on PC. Since I’ve had problems in the past with my account being taken over by a guy in Egypt I was nervous. After a day it was fixed and everything was back to normal.

-One of the thrift stores I went to someone donated their video game collection. There was a good selection of PSP games, and a bunch of Skylanders and the Disney game figures but at $6 a piece there was no way.

-On a funny note I did use my PS4 to stream Spotify while I played my game on the Switch. I think most of my gaming right now is on the Switch.

Alright Pixlpeeps that is basically what is going on. Once I finish ripping CDs I should get back to actually playing some games like the ones on PS4 I started. Anyways have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

When I lived in philly I went to Sixers games often. They sucked but they did have Iverson at that time who moved faster than a bullet. I‘ll always remember that. Fun times.

Funny thing, the Iverson era. These days it's all about how well you can shoot 3s. I watched a Villanova game last week. It's crazy how much they go for the 3 pointer now. I watched a guy go right under the basket and instead of putting in the easy 2, he chucked to a guy outside the paint and they got the 3. I'm not a fan of this new style of ball.

I am a big fan of AI. I owned his sneakers in college and they were my go-to because they could be slipped on. It must have been fun to watch him play live.

I use my PS4 for pretty much everything. I have definitely used it to play moody Spotify while I sleep. lol

Having a guy in Egypt take over my GTA would freak me out, but also be kind of funny/impressive. Now, did he ever get a hold of some financial info related to your PSN? Then just the freak out part.

I gotta get some use out of the PS4. Right now it's Spotify, and before that I would watch Hulu/WWE Network/Amazon Prime. At some point it will be used to play some games.

It was annoying because I couldn't change the icon for a bit, and guy really didn't do anything. I really don't have any cards connected to PSN because of their big security breach years ago, so all he got was just the website. This is my main problem with having everything connected online is that folks in other countries always do this, and having the ease of being able to just click a couple of buttons to get a game isn't worth the headaches involve in trying fix a situation because yahoo decided to take over your account.

It’s been years since I’ve posted a blog, literally. I’m working on one now. What are you ripping CDs for?

Hey good to see another familiar name on here! I have a couple of reasons for ripping my CDs again, mainly it's because I bought a new music player that can play FLAC files natively so I wanted to give that a try for a bit, and because I can then convert a copy of those files into AAC so they can be used on my phone, iPods, and my nerdy goal of having my CD collection living on a Micro SD card in one portable music player. It's super nerdy.

I thought the same when I saw your blog, good to see you’re still active. I understand about the music, its so much work, right? Once you get it done though it will make life a lot easier

These Thrift stores think they got gold with the stuff they get. I never paid more than a couple dollars for a Skylander when they were on sale at Gamestop. I'd walk away at $6.

This one store thinks it does. Other ones here are more reasonable, but the funny thing is, is that this store is part of a local charity and their other locations have normal prices. I wonder if this location has high rent.

Could be, or someone doesn't know what these things are really worth. It seems $6 is more in line with the boxed figures I saw on ebay.
