So it’s a Wednesday and guess what? I actually kinda played some games. Crazy right? Well I did and I even made one up, I called it a Science Experiment and if you’re on Twitter you probably saw it but more on that in a bit. Let’s get started!
Need For Speed Payback - PS4
I fired up the PS4 during the weekend and tried to give this a go. I am still having problems with one off road race and I have decided to just abandon this group of races for now, race the other three types and then come back to it. It’s for my sanity because I really shouldn’t be yelling at my TV because my off road car is garbage.
NBA 2K18 - Switch
It’s after the All Star Break, the Sixers are rolling and we are on our way to finish the season, and head into the playoffs. I re-signed Joel Embiid to a 3 year $72 million dollar deal, and the only other big signing I have to do is get Ben Simmons to re-sign and the core of Embiid/Simmons/Bridges will be stable along with Blake Griffin’s max deal, and hopefully I land the franchise point guard with my lottery pick.
My current point guard Derrick Rose is in demand and I was offered this trade
That is one hell of a deal but I turned it down.
I found a freebie game in the Switch Store
Gems of War, a match three RPG freebie game. I played a little bit last night, some more this morning and I will play more of it later on today. I think it might be one of those games where you eventually have to play online to get stronger cards because the game will punish you if you don’t. Hopefully it doesn’t but after spending years playing mobile games I don’t trust games that market themselves as free games because there’s always a catch. Anyways for now this game is fun and I’ve been playing the single player campaign. Controls are easy, the dialogue is simple, gameplay is fine but I wonder if I could use touch controls.
I fired up Steam and I was met with 94 game updates and I had to update Steam. I let that do it’s thing while I made dinner and watched Jeopardy! During this time I went and connected my old Steam External Drive (4TB) and I decided to clean it up a bit so I have enough space for my Steam library. This time I will only keep the games I want/will play installed.
I played some Ridge Racer Unbounded and I was extremely rusty, so much so that I needed to restart a race a couple of times. I also played some Moto RKD Dash which is just a fun arcade game that is kind of set up like Outrun where you have to make it to different points to keep the game going. The only difference is that when you hit the point you finish the level and then start from that point to the next level. Ok so it’s nothing like Outrun.
I also am still playing Disney Emoji Blitz. I’m still trying to get to level 300 but it is tough and currently I’m sitting pretty at 136 (somewhere in the high 130s).
So I created a new game, a sort of Science Experiment if you will. A little background: If you follow my Tweets you’ll know that one of my hobbies is to mess with Scam Callers. They prey on people and that’s disgusting. If I can waste their time, maybe get a rise out of them, then hopefully I save one person from getting scammed. A couple of my favorites is when I had a guy on the phone for 10 minutes trying to get my computer to connect with his and then asking if I should turn on my laptop for it to work. Another is when a guy said he needed money for me to win some money and I told him he’s in luck because I won the lottery in Nigeria (this one really pissed him off). My most recent ones are where I just keep asking “Who Hurt You” and I borrowed this from Good Will Hunting where all I say is “It’s not your fault.” Oh the American scammers really get pissed at this.
Anyways yesterday I was sitting in bed before I had to get up so I was listening to music on my music player when I got a call. It was game time. I answered the phone, didn’t say a word, put it on speaker, and then put the other earbud on the mic and played some N.W.A. Guy was confused and then hung up. I laughed and then figured this would be my thing for the day. If someone calls from a number that looks local but I have no idea who it is, I will answer the phone this way. Later on around lunch time I was listening to Smashing Pumpkins and boom another call. Game time. I did the same thing as before and I got a quick hang up. The last call of the day is when I was listening to The Cure. Guy from India gave me a “Hello” twice followed with “Can you hear me” and then hung up. This is going to be my thing for now.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I’m hungry and I want to grab some breakfast. Have a good week Pixlpeeps!
That’s all for now, more later!
