Hello Pixlpeeps, sorry I’ve been away but I had a family emergency. Everything is good now so I thought I would catch you up on what has been going on. There really hasn’t been much actual gaming because of this emergency but I did do some to take my mind off of real world. So let’s get started with a Quick Hits type layout.
-I finished season 1 of my 76ers Franchise in 2K18 on the Switch. The Sixers won the world title 4-1 and the last game ended on a game winning shot rimming out. I thought about just keeping the team intact but I let 4 or 5 players go and brought in Boogie Cousins on a max deal, Aaron Gordon on a 2 year deal, and Tony Parker, Dwayne Wade, and Patty Mills on 1 year deals. My mercenary squad year 2 should be a lot of fun.
-I played more of Gems of War or whatever it’s called on Switch. I think I have 14 kingdoms under my reign as match 3 king. I still haven’t tried online and I really don’t intend to, I’m having too much fun playing the single player.
-My 10 year old cousin was amazed at the classic consoles I had sitting under the TV, and then proceeded to give me the history of the consoles and his theory on why the Dreamcast died. We found out my X-Box doesn’t play games anymore, but the Dreamcast is still alive and kicking…and currently connected to the TV. His mind was blown when I showed him how you can connected VMU’s to each other.
-I gave my cousin my copy of Mariokart on the Switch. I told him I wasn’t playing it and he would get more enjoyment out of it, and he was excited saying that it was his 2nd game on the Switch. He had a bunch of other small games but his only full game was Super Mario Hat (still don’t know the name). I also gave him my old 32GB card so he could download that free online game where you play as a guy taking out other bad guys (again no idea about the name). He asked me to take down a boss and I was getting worked. I told him I couldn’t do it with his bow and arrow so when I looked at the info of the stage he was 2-3 levels below the boss. No wonder it was difficult. I told him to level up his character and it should be a cakewalk.
-I saw that MK11 is out. I can’t justify spending $60 or the even absurd $100 for everything (I did this for the MK game on the PS4 years ago). Congrats to you folks who did buy the game. I’d like to play it but I’m going to wait for the $20 release.
Well I think that is all the gaming I’ve been doing. I told my cousin that I will come out of Madden retirement to play him this year as long as he uses the Giants and I get to use the Cowboys. He’s an Eli Manning fan and I told him he needs to play with the Giants as I laughed and talked about how the Cowboys offense will drop 60 on them. Knowing my luck he’ll destroy me in the game. He’s 13.

Watch out when you play Madden with your other cousin. The teenage years are when people peak at Madden. Ha ha.

My cousin loves his YouTube videos about gaming and it's history. He was rattling off facts about Nintendo, Atari, how the Playstation became the Playstation, and his favorite, the death of Sega as a console maker.
It does look good and I guess they brought back the Mercy option. I did see on Twitter there is a lot of grinding so maybe it's good we're waiting.
Kid is good. The last time we played he was 10 and was just driving up and down the field like it was nothing. I got him to shut off the console before the game ended and then proclaimed that since he turned off the system before the game ended he lost. That's when I promptly "retired". I don't think he's going to fall for that again.
It's Super Mario Odyssey, but I like Super Mario Hat better as it's easier to spell.
That's the name! Yeah I'll stick with Super Mario Hat because it is easier to spell.
Hope that crisis isn't too serious for you. I'm currently not blogging. I got finals and I'm just too stressed out right now.
It wasn't but the hospital stay made it much more than it should have been, but that's a story for another day. I'm glad that is done and everything is almost back to normal.

I have MK 11 in my GameFly cue, but it'll be a while. In the meantime, DOA 6 is getting sent to the wrong address, so that's neat.

I thought about seeing if MK11 was at Redbox but as I left Walmart I completely forgot. That is terrible about DOA6. Hopefully that gets resolved so you can get some good ol' fashion fight gaming going.
