Well, I bought Final Fantasy 7 for like the tenth time, this time for the Switch. I've been playing it here and there. It looks pretty good in the higher resolution, and it has a feature where if you click the left thumbstick, it speeds up the battles and walking around to 3 times the speed. This helps with the tedium. It does not speed up the music though which is great.

I'm more excited to play Final Fantasy X which came out last week and which I'm planning to buy soon. Havent played that for a while.

I've also been thinking of diving back into to Banner Saga. I beat the first one, but before I play the rest, I've been thinking about replaying it. Great game.

I'm not really looking forward to any AAA games right now except for maybe Cyberpunk and the Switch verison of Dragon Quest 11.

I actually replayed the first part of FF7 on my PlayStation Classic recently (which I just wrote a blog about). It's not as bad as I remember, which is good. I have respect for FF7 for trying new things, but unfortunately, it was the new things that I didn't like that they decided to focus on in future installments, so FF7 was also the turning point for me not liking FF games anymore either. Oh well, at least there's always FF9.

That would be kind of funny if the music sped up when you sped things up as well. Then it would've been like the credits to the old Benny Hill show.

Can you guess who my favorite FF7 characters are?

Final Fantasy 7 actually has a lot of humor in it, like Final Fantasy 6 did. It's just overshadowed by the pessimism.

Im so glad they included the battle speed and walking speed up for FF9 on Switch. It greatly reduced time grinding and I got back to where I was on PC rather fast.

Im looking forward to several games and its gonna be my downfall. I do have like 8 games finished for the year so far. Im definitely looking forward to DQ11 on Switch, I loved it on PS4. Im ready to sink another 100 hours.

Im currently playing My Time at Portia for the most part on Switch. Its super addicting O_O

yeah I'm loving that speed up feature. As many times as I've played these games, it's nice to forward through the repetitive parts.

I saw FF7 featured in new releases on Xbox One last week. I've never played it. I've played about half of IV on DS and a little bit of XII. I've always wante to play X. I have it for PS2 still.

it's a fine game. If you didn't play it as a kid though, the graphics for the characters might turn you off.

Final Fantasy 7 is my favorite game in the series and I have bought it multiple times as well, probably about six or seven different ways. It’s clunky nowadays but still fun as hell to me. Being turn-based, it’s perfect for mobile (I have on iPhone and iPad), but Switch I can see as well.
