Ramblings of What I Played With A Side Of Leftover Pizza

So here I am sitting here enjoying my leftover pizza and listening to Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons and it hits me that I never uploaded my latest entry on Monday. Instead of doing so I figured I would just rewrite it adding new typos and sentences that are probably repetitive, random, make no sense, and would be omitted if I would just take the extra five minutes to reread the post, but then it wouldn’t be my ramblings. Anyways let’s get started

-The more I get deeper into Gems of War, the less I understand other than match 3+ and take out the bad guy’s squad. Last weekend I spent the entire weekend camped out with the Switch playing this damn game, figuring out how to work the system for upgrade orbs, taking down kingdoms and being more confused. I tried watching YouTube tutorials on assembling the right teams and other jazz but people love to ramble on (funny how I hate that yet I like to ramble while on the keyboard. Sorry folks.) Anyways I'm more confused about what I am I supposed to do, how to get the items I need to upgrade the heck out of my squad, and I donate gold to the Guild.

-I started Lifeless Planet on the Switch. From what I saw in the promo video it was supposed to be this open world where you’re a Russian Cosmonaut light years away from home exploring a new planet only to discover Russians have been there in the past. Crazy right? I give it a spin and what looks like an open world kinda encourages you, the happy gamer to follow a certain path. There are not levels just sections, and when a new one is encountered the name appears. I’m maybe an hour in and this game is puzzle/action where you are trying to find out what is going on. I’m secretly hoping it’s a Planet of the Apes kind of ending

-I also started VSR: Void Space Racing on the Switch and well, it is hot garbage. It’s a no frills racing game in space but your ship handles like it’s on ice in that is created by the Mariokart Rainbow Road levels but less enjoyable. Maybe if I play it a little longer, who knows, it’s a pain, and I think I got bamboozled out of the 49 gold coins I used to buy it.

-I think I mentioned it in a previous blog that NBA 2K18 on the Switch have turned off all it’s online components so no more roster updates. Anyways I’ve been playing with the Chicago Bulls and I think the squad I assembled is the most fun I’ve had so far. They aren’t dominant, go through dry spells but so far they have found a way to win with timely runs. Because of this I don’t think I want to tinker with the roster much from this point on.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I finished my pizza during my rambling about the Russian Cosmonaut game and it is time to be productive. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

Damn man, you're really into that Gems of War game.

I'll probably pick up NBA2K for switch on sale or wait until the new one. I've been meaning to watch more basketball now that the Sixers are in the playoffs, but just haven't had the time.

It's the collecting and upgrading aspect of the game. I like unlocking new stuff and upgrading/leveling up the characters on in my collection.

I should have jumped on the recent 2K when it was 23 bucks in the Switch Store. With NBA it makes more sense to go with digital because with the physical game I still need to download an additional 20GB and it take up the card slot.

I wonder how hard it is to make a decent racing game. Like, just have the cars control nicely.

You would think they would have perfected it by this point. Hell there are some really good racing games in the market right now but yet developers continue to release garbage.

I like it, if only I can tear myself away from the funky freebie games.
