...!
In this week's Blog, The Original Ser Teams up with NSonic79 to hunt big cats.

*****

So I totally effed the noun when I ran waaaaay too much electrical current into the Atari Jaguar that George of PPR gave to me out of the kindness of his otherwise mysterious heart. I was very concerned that I'd have to tell him, "Dude. I completely screwed the object. The Jag you gave me literally went up in smoke, and we can't do our special Bullet Heaven."

Well, when I posted the blog detailing this shortly after PAX East, [Movie Trailer Voice] One man arose to face the challenge.

NSonic79, another great chap here on PixlBit actually tracked one down in his town for only $80, which, all told, would save me a ton on replacing my fried system. Since, you know, many on eBay are well over $100 before the shipping is even applied.

Well, it arrived today in a surprse second mail delivery. The good news out of all of this is that now, I have two controllers for some 2 Player action. Best of all, it works like a charm (albeit after a quick clean.) So, without further adue, here is the new Jag system set with my existing controller and the games I picked up at PAX Prime 2012 and PAX East 2013!

And with that, the special Bullet Heaven is still right on track! Just wait... and it's primed to be one of the most extreme scores ever. EVER!

I'd love to stay and chat, but it's time that I went out to get some errands done, son. Peace out, PixlBit! Until Next week!

I had a JAguar once when I collected games back in the 90's, but I gave it away when I moved...  Yell

It was a console that I never thoght I'd own until, well, I found out there was actually some decent (tempest), interesting (Raiden) and just plain hilarious (secret) stuff on it. I didn;t buy my first one, which is why it was so crushing when it was rendered useless.

Very sweet deal, glad you got it replaced. Now, who's selling a working Jaguar car for that price? No one? Well, if they were, I probably shouldn't trust the car's condition anyway. Damn. Now I'm sad. Ser, you inadvertently made me sad for a very stupid reason. How dare you.

Neh, no one needs a car that expensive. Get a smaller, more econominca and planet friendly one if you must, that's how I see it.

Pretty interested in this upcoming episode.  Having never even touched a Jaguar, I am always intrigued by it.

Yes sir. We're going to review what could ve the worst game I'll play this year for BH. Unless somehow I get a copy of Sky Far for review, because that game is abhorrently shameless and deserves a straight zero.

What a great find! Never played a Jaguar myself, but had a friend who owned one. Said he had a lot of fun with it. Cool piece of gaming history you have there.

It's one down and something like 9 left for me; I'm missing a Wii-U, 3DO, Lynx, CDi, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Intellivision and Odyssey 1 and 2. That's it, though I really don't think there's enough that's worth it for me on any of those systems, soooo. yeah.

I had a friend in the Navy who had a Lynx. Thought it was very cool, but not to the touch! That thing could generate heat in a big way. Had great graphics,I remember that. Very impressive handheld for that point in time. I don't even know how much a 3DO would cost, but if it's in as good condition as your Jaguar I'll bet it's a small fortune.

Not really, actually. Since a lot of them don't work so well, they typically go for less than Jags do.
