Yes. I know it's almost 2020, but the Fallout series is one I've always skipped over or not cared to play until I started playing through series. I've done this before with Resident Evil, Silent Hill and blogged about it on here. I don't remember what the reception for the game was at the time so it's wierd playing it in a bubble and mostly revisiting it through video blogs, reviews and essays. I'm half way through Fallout New Vegas.

What popular series have you missed out on and are interested in playing through?

Some of mine:

Splinter Cell
Saints Row
Yakuza
Dragon Quest
Uncharted

Saints Row. My brother was into it though and I watched him play a couple of them. Would like to play myself though.

i only played the first Splinter Cell so I wouldn’t mind playing the others.

I've heard that saints row games are actually good? I tried Sleeping Dogs which is kind of like GTA but in hong kong and I quite liked it, so GTA with absurd comedy sounds fun at least.

I remember liking Splinter Cell, but then just not keeping up with all the sequels.

Literally all of the ones you mentioned, except Yakuza, Uncharted, and I did play the first Splinter Cell for a while.

I plugged in my xbox 360 and started buying older games on the cheap so its a good time to revisit retronauts style.

Fallout 3 was my first experience with the series. I had seen screenshots of the first two games. It was great wandering through the wasteland. However, New Vegas was a much beefier experience. I hope that gets a HD remaster. Too bad about all the drama between Obsidian and Bethesda.

As far as game series I missed out on, I have, surprisingly, never picked up an Elder Scrolls game.

FO3 felt kind of short actually. It felt more like a horror game to me, especially some of the exploration inside buildings and subway tunnels with zombies and mutants. New Vegas feels like a different game entirely. I think the bright desert setting makes it less intense. Im enjoying both of them, but I actually wouldnt mind having an HD remake of both.

Elder Scrolls is another one I missed. I only played the newer MMO and enjoyed the setting and lore a lot.

So many. Recently I've been thinking about Fallout New Vegas. I'd like to play that.

Also, I played the first Silent Hill a while back and loved it. I've always meant to play the other games in the series.

Suikoden is another one. I have 1 & 2 on my PS3, still haven't dug into them.
