My video reaction blog response to Linda (Vampy) Le’s Tifa Lockhart cosplay

I’m not sure if I’ve made this abundantly clear to any and all that frequent my gaming blogs, but in case anyone has yet to realize this I’ll speak of it again. I am a big Tifa Lockhart fan. Please note I didn’t say “Final Fantasy VII” fan but a Tifa Lockhart fan. Though I may not be as extreme as some out there, I don’t own resin figurines, post various posters of this buxom beauty, have a life size hugging pillow of her or obsess about her to the point where it becomes “creepy”. But with that said I have to admit that I like the character of Tifa Lockhart just the same. I wrote about her in a blog about how she don’t get much love these days in gaming, to actually writing “april fools” joke blogs about her in one form or another. And despite there being a good number of people willing to “cosplay” as Tifa, I haven’t found many that can nail her look and style to do her much justice in my opinion.

Until now.

When I saw Linda (Vampy) Le’s photo postings on her twitter/instagram account of her recent photo shoot of her cosplaying as Tifa Lockhart, no words could describe the reaction I had in seeing what I saw.

So instead the best I could do was post this video (that I totally did not edit) that pretty much mirrors my reaction. Just replace the “photo strip” with my acer tablet and you have my response in a nutshell. Though I can't post the linked photos on here trust me on this, after clicking on the link you'll understand.

I know I consider myself a gentleman in such matters, nor think I’d actually have to do what was shown in real life but, Lord help us Tifa fans if Vampy decides to try out Tifa’s “original” outfit.

Thanks. It was the first image that popped into my head when I saw Vampy's photos. I thought about re-enacting the scene myself but figured my actions would be lost in translation or I'd be considered ripping off classic comedic action.

Plus I couldn't get anyone at my work place to flim me doing all of it either....

Tifa is a neat character. One of the only human characters I liked in FF7.

That she is! People can keep their Cloud's and Yuffie's and Cid's and even Barrets.

Tifa is all aces in my book. Out of all of them she seemed the most "human". well as human as you can get when your able to suplex a robot 10 times their own size.

Being able to suplex a giant robot is pretty darn cool, though.

Yeah all the other FF7 human characters are mean. But Tifa is nice.

The only other FF7 characters I liked were Red XIII and Cait Sith.

Tifa is a cool chick who is tough and sexy as hell. I think she did her justice. Linda is one of the best cosplay artists I have ever seen. Takes the whole thing to another level.

Indeed Linda Le raised the bar with this Tifa cosplay. all the more understanfable I hope when one sees my response with that context. and to think the cosplay that had me subscribe to her twitter/instagram was her punisher look.
