I was deep into EDF 2025 right before Borderlands 3 came out. I was just getting back into playing as a Wing Diver. I think I want to play the whole game as a Wing Diver next time.

Games Beaten
-Yakuza Kiwami 2 (PS4)
Like the remake of the first game, Kiwami 2 has a ridiculous amount of content. The plot is engaging with likable characters and nefarious villains and double crosses, and the light RPG brawler gameplay manages to not overstay its welcome thanks to the many distractions between story missions. The side stories continue to be a delight. The fact that there are so many Yakuza games kind of blows my mind. I could double my playtime trying to do everything in this game.
Games Bought
September was an interesting month for purchases. We picked up two copies of No Man's Sky (PS4) to play in the lull leading up to the release of Destiny's newest expansion. My wife also bought a couple of really cheap original Xbox games—Max Payne and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge—though we haven't tried them yet. I remember always hearing such good things about Crimson Skies in particular back in the day. For my kids we got Ben 10 (PS4) because they love the show (it is actually pretty good) and the game was on clearance at Targt for less than $5. It seems like a decent, if shallow, brawler. We also got the Sega Genesis Mini, which includes a butt ton of games that I won't include here. I am most excited, however, to play Castlevania: Bloodlines. PS+ was a very solid month with Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4) and Darksiders III (PS4).
Games Being Played
-Destiny 2: Shadowkeep (PS4)
This came out on October 1, so it didn't make the September list but we have been playing a lot of this.
-No Man's Sky (PS4)
Now that Shadowkeep is out I don't know how much of this we will play (might get backburnered till the next Destiny lull) but for about two weeks we played quite a bit. We played with my older brother, who got NMS when it first launched, and he told us all the many ways it has improved since then. It's a fun game!
-Final Fantasy Adventure (Switch)
Fighting through the Dark Lord's castle!
-Earth Defense Force 2025 (PS3)
Progress slowed in September. Just chipping away at the lower Wing Diver missions.
