It’s November 1st which means…
Chris is full Christmas Music mode. Unlike last year when I started Christmas Music the minute I closed the door on the last Trick Or Treater, I gave Halloween some space and waited until earlier this morning to start listening but more on that later, let’s get started with Quick Hits!
Halloween
Every year I have a handful of kids hit the door usually because my street was made up of vacationing Canadians who aren’t here, or young hip folks who go out a lot. There are a couple of families on my street so they’re out with their kids which leaves me. Last year I got 12 kids hitting the door and they got handfuls of candy. This year two kids, TWO showed up. I now have a bag full of candy that have peanuts and if I were to eat this bag of candy I would end up in the Emergency Room of the local hospital. I do have a ton of Kit Kat, and Crunch bars in my candy jar (the stuff I can actually eat) so I need to figure out what to do with the other stuff. Maybe I’ll give them to my cousin. Oh and I also dressed up (by dressing up I mean I wear a jersey) this year it was a shirsey (shirt/jersey) to celebrate the World Series
Stephen Strasburg wins the World Series MVP and makes history with Kawhi Leonard
SDSU's Athletic Twitter Account
SDSU technically has three MVPs because Trey Kell also earned finals MVP in the NBL in Canada. S-D-S-U, SDSU AZTECS FIGHT!
Chris Reads
-I went back to Killing Patton on Audiobook while roaming around the mall last week. Its on my phone, I might as well listen to it. I’m still on the second disc. I would like to finish it before the year is up to pad my books read list on Goodreads.
Chris Watches
-WWE Crown Jewel was on yesterday morning which is an odd time to watch wrestling but I did. It was an ok show and it was good to see the women on the roster finally get to have a match.
-Since the Aztecs have a bye this week I’m thinking of starting Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime. Since Season 2 is now out having two seasons to watch so be good enough.
Pickups
Games
I think it was on Sunday night when I wanted to play my Switch on the TV but I couldn’t find some vital things like that thing that holds the Joy-cons (after I bought one I remembered that flying game with the toys has one. Oops) I hit the local Burlington and I may have bought some stuff
I bought that thing that holds the Joy-cons and I found a wired controller that was sitting next to it on the pegs. I’ve been using the wired controller and it’s basically just a regular plastic controller with a removable micro usb/usb cable. I’m gonna try my generic 360 controllers I bought for my laptop on the Switch to see if they work.
Music
I visited the local mall on Sunday to hit the music store. I spent a good hour just going through the CDs and finding a bunch of stuff. The spot was packed but we all were camped out in different sections which was nice. Anyways I bought these items
Buy 4 Get 1 Free $1.99 CDs
The only thing that sucks is the Bow Wow/Omarion CD is clean. There’s a couple of songs I really like on it and I just might have to order it online.
These are the expensive CDs
Wilco was $3.99 and Biz Markie was $5.99.
From the .99 Singles section I found
The Beatles Love is a four track sampler for the show Love, and the Jenny Lewis CD it was her full album and was sealed. You remember Jenny Lewis, right?
It’s gaming related…kinda.
Other So Spotify had a deal for Premium Members if they sync their account with Google you get a free Google Home Mini
After a week I got it in the mail. Sorry Government I’m kinda boring. All I ask of Google Home Mini are
-Stream Xtra Sports (sports radio in San Diego), Play Spotify
-What time is it? What time is it in *random place*
-What is the temperature?
-How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
-Who’s better: you Alexa or Siri?
-Tell me a joke
-You spying on me?
-Sing to me
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I have more music to listen to and add to my music player. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
