KH3 is very good!

Luckily I picked up KH3 on sale and I think it's a pretty solid conclusion to the series, or at least the story so far with all the side story games. It made me want to go back and play the other games in the series. My favorites are KH3, Birth By Sleep, KH2 and then 1, mainly because I like how the combat mechanics have gotten better over the years, although story-wise I'd reverse the order in terms of favorite story game. I was surprised to see the mobile game playing a significant part to the story because I skipped out on it. I probably need to read up on what I missed out with that game because it seems to be important.

I played on Proud mode and thought it was pretty easy until I got to the end boss fight. Level farming is pretty generous in the game and I think it's pretty accessible to new players.

Now on to the DLC thats beeing teased for the near future.

Gameplay-wise, I like some of the things they implemented in Birth By Sleep and the 3DS one. But as far as worlds go, KH2 and KH3 are great. I tried the mobile game for a little bit. It wasn't that hot.

The mobile game was adorable, but ultimately, I don't enjoy playing games on mobile and it seems to really matter, story-wise, as part of the lore.

I rented KH1 not long ago, and I enjoyed it, but not as much as I was hoping to.

I think the combat gets fun towards the middle of the game when you start unlocking abilites and combos. The combat mechanics have evolved a lot from the 1st game and makes it a bit harder to go back now honestly. It's a very grindy hack-n-slash like god of war or diablo to me. Maye devil may cry too. I mostly just like beating up waves of baddies with cool flashy combos and magic spells. The soundtrack and visuals are cool too.
