I rented this game once, just because my younger brothers loved the Power Rangers so much back then. For me, it was OK I guess. Since I was a teen when the show was first big, I thought it was dumb, but I also watched it with my brothers and didn't complain about it either. Mainly because when I was little, I watched stuff like Godzilla and Ultraman, which is basically the same thing as Power Rangers.
SNES Games I Love #20: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Developer: Natsume
Publisher: Bandai
Genre: Beat 'em up
Release: 1994
Currently available on: cartridge only
About the game: This is a simple beat 'em up in which you take control of one of the Rangers and move through a level beating up putties and fighting one of Rita Repulsa's monsters. There are five levels, and you get to pick a different Ranger before the start of each level. Each character is unique outside of their suit, but then they transform half-way through the level and become pallette swaps (although each one uses a specific weapon). Levels offer some variety, such as wall-jumping and swimming, and the bosses are a lot of fun. Once you beat the five levels, the five Rangers jump into the Mega Zord and the game becomes a fighting game for the last two levels, which is really fun (and they would actually make a MMPR fighting game in this vein a little later, which is a great game). You can put in a code that allows two players to duke it out, one player controlling the Mega Zord and the other controlling the monster.
Why I love it: Guys, I love this game. Let me explain why. I got this game when I was just 7 years old, and Power Rangers was my absolute favorite show on TV. I was a huge fan. I will never forget playing this game for the first time. I was blown away when I saw Jason transform into the Red Ranger right before my eyes! Being able to play as these characters was like a dream come true for me, and the game was so fun. I played through the whole thing and beat it in no time. It's an easy game, probably so kids could enjoy it. And that's not a problem. It's a very simple beat 'em up, and I'm sure that some might think it's boring, but it holds a special place in my heart. I will say this: each level is distinct, Natsume did a good job using characters from the show, and the music is very good. Apart from TMNT IV, I don't think there's a single game that I'm more nostalgic for than this one.
