About the game: Bust-a-Move is a simple yet addictive puzzle game in which you shoot up orbs and try to group orbs of the same color so that they fall away. The game stars Taito's adorable Bubble Bobble characters Bub and Bob. You start with a certain number of orbs on screen. As you play, the ceiling will start to lower. You have to clear all the orbs before the ceiling moves all the way down. It's not difficult and can be very fun. The main one player mode has a total of 100 levels (the last of which is the game's only boss). And, of course, there is also a two player mode.
Why I love it: I picked up this game one day because I enjoy puzzle games. But wow, this game was super addicting! I started playing the one player mode and I was determined to beat it. I remember thinking, "How many levels are there?" Some levels were tricky, but I managed to make it through. I've played quite a few puzzle games on SNES, and I think that Bust-a-Move is one of the absolute best. It's simple, fun, relaxing, and totally addicting, four qualities that should characterize any good puzzle game. And people clearly love it, as it's been ported to just about everything.
