Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a nice Southern California morning and I am waiting for the butter to soften up a bit so I can go toast my homemade (Eggo Waffles from Costco) waffles and not tear a hole into it with a little piece of rock hard butter. So what has been going on? Let’s find out and hopefully I remember all the interesting stuff before I eat breakfast and get going on my 3 day weekend.
Chris Watches…
High Fidelity - Hulu: Now I love the movie because it’s so nerdy, funny, and takes you on a roller coster of emotion as you follow the main character as he deals with some drama and how everything revolves around music (Is that Peter F**kin Frampton?). Well the TV show gets a kind of current era reboot where Zoe Kravitz is now Rob (her mom was in the movie). I love the movie, but I can’t get into this show. For me it tries too hard, and resused a lot of the content from the movie. It’s not for me, I’ll stick to the movie.
The Office - Netflix: I’ve decided to just have this playing in the background when I do work on the laptop and I started with Season 3 which is my favorite out of the bunch. Currently I am in the middle of Season 4 and it has it’s moments.
Chris Listens…
I’ve been listening to a new podcast about baseball cards, and figures called Caught Looking where two guys discuss latest releases of cards, open up some cards, talk about collecting, and bring up figure collecting. I’m not really into collecting cards anymore but I am shocked at how much current cards are.
2020 Totals For Feburary:
For Games: Spent $17.25, for 1 Physical “Game” (Bleem Disc), 2 Digital Games, 1 Year 1 Season Pass, and 1 Toys To Life item.
For Music: Spent $25, for 30 CDs, 1 Digital Single
Spring Cleaning:
I started early this year and I've been tossing a lot of stuff out. Under my bed I found $50 in singles from a fail 52 Week Challenge, and two pairs of sneakers I thought I lost.
Pickups
I bought some CDs from the local Treasure Hunt (the store that sells online returns from Target, Kohl’s, and Macy’s). They dropped these CDs that have been there for months to 90% off so of course I was going to buy them
Steve Perry - Traces
Various Artists - Songs That Saved My Life
Neil Diamond - Hot August Night III
Peter Frampton Band - All Blues
Cher - Dancing Queen
Chris Cornell - Greatest Hits
Shawn Mendes - Self Titled
5 Seconds Of Summer - Youngblood (X3)
In total I spent I think around $11 after taxes, with Shawn Mendes and Chris Cornell being $2 and $3. Everything else was .80 cents each. I bought 3 of 5 Seconds of Summer because it was released with four different covers but I could only find 3.
Alright Pixlpeeps I think the butter is soft enough so I am going to go toast my waffles. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!
