Did a few things the last couple of days

Free Comic Book Day, Saturday

It was a good haul yesterday didn't get everything I wanted but what I did get was satisfactory, I also went to 2 signing. One of Judge Dredd and 2000AD magazine writers and artists and the writer and artist of Marvel's Young Avengers.

Games Completed

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

So happy i played this game, I'm not the biggerest Transformers fan but I appreciate the effert High Moon Studios put into this game every character was captured perfectly, the designs the combat,  uh! It was fun and clever. I only wish it was longer but for a game that cronicles the end of Cybertron it goes into quite a bit of depth and the audio logs are a treat, I'd kind of like to play a game just before the war.

I'd love a sequel but I don't like punny humans but the Armada Transformers game on the PS2 had no humans and that was decent (so was the cartoon, I like that series).

All in all, Michael Bay sucks! Tongue Out

New Games

Persona 4: Arena

In Britain because it took soooooooooooooooooooo long to get localised to europe one shop is selling it with something "special", I won't tell you what it is and don't spoil yourselves because It's be delivered by Friday

I'm concentrating on my RPG backlog, and my mate has a bunch of PS2 games he's either doesn't play or hasn't played yet and my PS2 works fine... but for convinience sake, I'm emulating Wink

Final Fantasy 12

Persona 4

Rogue Galaxy

Dragon's Quest 8

Burnout 3: Takedown (love this game)

A tall order, I know but i can make it work. I hopeEmbarassed

Udon Entertainment

They're releaseing so much stuff, just look!

And that's just,my "to buy" list. I don't know what I'd get first, maybe I'll let my cousin help choose.

Missed out on comic day myself. couldn't drive to my local stores. But it's good to hear you got your just dues. If you hadn't I'd have to doubt your comic cred!

I'm glad my comic cred is safe then? Tongue Out

It was a lot of fun, the comic shops saw more customers than usual children and adults enjoyed themselves with cosplay, drawing and other stuff.Smile

love Tribe Called Quest.

Those are a lot of PS2 games you are playing.  That's Snee-style.  Smile

I've been playing War for Cybertron, the first Transformers game in that series.  It's pretty cool.  Such a weird universe, when you think about it....

I was a Bigger De La Soul  fan as a youth but as I got older became a bigger Tribe fan.

The thing that always confused me was the names, i'm like how are they assigned? at creation or when they display specific trait or atributes? (like the Smurfs).

But over the years the mythology and politics have gotten pretty deep... but the 80s and some 90s stuff are absolutly nuts Tongue Out. I got into Transformers with Beast Wars. Good times.Cool

ha, that's some weird lore questions.  I wish there was a Game of Thrones like adult Transformers show/cartoon.  that would rule.

Actually Transformers was very much like A Game of Thrones at one time, y'know, without the sex Wink

First time listening to A Tribe Called Quest. Very nice. Had a good flow and some very interesting ryhtms. Maybe i'll check more of them.

Damm, those Udon books look great. I'm specially interested in Mega Man's one.

Also, since i've heard of it, but I don't know how is it, what's that free comic book thing?

Have never played Burnout 3, but I do own Takedown. That one it's one of my favorite racing games on the original Xbox.

The Tribe had a great impact on Hip Hop and a great legacy, their work has a ver unique style more relaxed then todays. The song Butter was from their debut album, i suggest you do check out their stuffSmile

Once a Year comic publishers release a bunch of free comic books for comicshops to promote, More often than note it's all original material last year, one Publisher released a Hardcover. It's a pretty big event for anyone.Laughing

I think they're the same thing bruvWink but me too, it's my alltime favourite racer from my teen years and my favourite in the series.Cool

Thanks for the 'upadates.' :)

When I was listing my categories for Best Games of 2012, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron won my 'best 3-D adventure' category.  I'm not really very good at third person shooters, but I really got into that game.  That's a Transformers game done right.  Forget Hollywood, Fall of Cybertron is how Transformers should be.

You're Welcome.Cool

I kept dying over and over in FoC you can die soo easy when you're exposed. Funnily the running sequence is less nausiating than GoW. It's also cool how it kept a sense of humour. I really hope for a 3rd gameSmile

I just figured I died a lot in the Transformers game because I'm not very good at that type of game.

Man those rpgs are gonna take some time lol. I'm glad I don't have that many in my backlog. I want to play FF 12 again someday. I also need to finish Persona 3 so I can get to Persona 4. I was really far and got stuck at a boss in the normal game and a boss in Tartarus. I pretty much forgot everything that had happened lol. Embarassed

The skit I'm referring to was on SNL in the early 90s, but we're both technically too young to have seen its first airing. lol You missed a good one this past weekend.

Are those art books? If So I gotta look into that. I have a realy cool book of Yoshitaka Amano's art work from Final Fantasy 5 & 6. Found it at an import shop in Austin TX, set me back $50, but worth every penny.

V4Viewtiful

Yes.

Anb "DUDE!!" I need an Amano art book like bad, hey has the one you got translated? I Know it's the one with terra on Megitech armour.

his "The Sky" book which is a reprint of the botched limited release is yet to come out.

There's this 3 book piece of FF6 by him to i'll get it eventually Wink

I wish it was the translated version because there is a two page interveiw with him at the end of the book. I'm just happy to have it. I also have Mateki; The Magic Flute which was published by Radical Books so it is in english. Another one he did that kind of went under the radar was a three part soft cover called "Elektra and Wolverine  The Redeemer " with Greg Rucka. Rucka is probably best know for Batman: No Mans Land. Its freaking georgous and a great read too. But I like his Final Fantasy work the best.
