So, I bought this, and I don't have any regrets yet. I played the opening mission again, because it doesn't continue from the demo... but also there are some different things in the full game that weren't in the demo which I've noticed.

Unfortunately, when it came to the end of the opening mission, the game told me it was only 65% downloaded, and I needed to wait to continue.

I'm pretty happy with it so far. The combat is really growing on me. In the demo, I played it in "classic" mode and didn't love it. I played in "normal" mode this time, and was much more satisfied. The boss at the end of the first mission is tough too, but not in a cheap way.

Overall, I'm pretty excited. They said it's about 30 hours long, stretching the opening 5 hours of the first game. I'm really curious to explore Midgar and these characters.

I've heard this might come to Game Pass, so I want to try it when it does. I think I was still playing Doom clones when this originally came out.

I played it when it came out, and played it many times since. It was my first final fantasy because I never had a snes. It's not my favorite, but I do love it. The remake is very good.

I've heard about this game so many times over the years, reading magazines and now podcasts, I've got to run through it at least to have something to say about it. I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't played it.

Not the only one, Spartacus! I only played the demo and was not up for robot spider boss thing. Are you supposed to guard instead of dodge missiles?

That thing is pretty tough. You have to switch between Cloud and Barret depending On what it's doing and also remember to heal. You can't use your magic or skills unless you have AP so keep an eye on that gauge.

I switched to one or the other when spider robot grabbed Cloud or Barrett, but I definitely felt I was healing way too often. The characters yelled out to use magic, so I tried Barrett's Thunder and Cloud's fire pretty often, but once the missile barrage came I was boned.

Did you get to the part where he puts up his shield? With the missiles, try to keep moving with cloud. The dodge move is important. You can't avoid some damage but try not to stand still and try to remain behind the robot.
