I'm working on reviewing a Switch racing game right now called 80's Overdrive. They tried to make it look like OutRun, but it doesn't play as good. Might still be a somewhat fun and relaxing time waster, though, but I have to play it a bit longer to form a full opinion on it.

(Apparently I forgot to hit Live. Ooops. Have a good night!)
Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is a nice sunny day here in Southern California where later on it is supposed to hit triple digits. Ooooh. I celebrated this by having soup for breakfast because why not, and because my milk went bad and I already pulled out a spoon and a bowl. Fun right? Let’s get started with Quick Hits.
Chris Watches…
90 Day Finance Marathon - TLC: There was a marathon earlier this week and I may have watched way more than my usual Sunday Night viewings and man I don’t think I have ever disliked an entire cast before, yet here we are. Combine that with this season’s group and I literally do not like everyone on the show. Actually I take that back, I like Erika from Australia. She seems like a nice kid, everyone else, not so much.
The Challenge - MTV: This past episode was a Women’s Elimination and yet we saw a guy flip out because he thought his partner was throwing the game even though she’s at risk of being sent in to compete. Also Bayleigh decided to fly off the handle on Jordan because she thought he was protecting his wife. It’s insane but that’s The Challenge.
Also watching: Community (while eating lunch, and random binges), The Last Dance, and since Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune are replays more of California’s Gold on PBS.
Chris Reads…
Apparently I hit my goal of 12 books for the years *throws confetti*. Most of my books were comics and audiobooks. I hit a zone awhile back (last week) where I was just tearing into audiobooks and I hit the Marvel Universe pretty hard. To change it up this was book number twelve
Ari was easily one of the best characters on Entourage and Jeremy Piven reads this book. LLOYD!!!!!
Chris Randoms…
-I finished sorting/cataloging my football cards, and I am currently sorting my baseball cards. This is such a huge task that I’ve been doing it for a couple of days. Funny thing is that baseball isn’t even my favorite sport yet baseball cards is 50% of my childhood collection.
-eBay has been my new favorite thrift store/mall. When I’m on the couch, before I go to sleep or bored I’ll load up the app and just browse random things. I’ll look up random cards from when I was growing up, be shocked at how cheap everything is, and then debate if I should buy it. Before I hit Buy It Now I close the app.
Pickups
Games
So many things this week. Starting with a digital purchase from Origin where I bought Madden 20 for under $14 for the Standard Edition. I don’t play Ultimate Team so I don’t need the packs of virtual cards to make a team really good. I figured that I’ll play regular Madden for a bit, get tired of it, and then download the NCAA Football mod and then play that for a bit.
For the Switch I saw that one game I wanted to try is free only if you own another game by the same devloper. That developer was also selling a game for .04 cents so I used four coins, got the game that I will never play and then proceeded to download the game I wanted. The game I didn’t wand is Flow Lines Vs, and the game I wanted is Moto Rush GT. Moto Rush GT is like that driving game on the Switch I was playing where it’s an endless runner where you can upgrade and buy new vehicles.Moto Rush is that with a motorocycle.
More freebie games!
Shadow Bandit from Steam, Escalation is from Humble Bundle and the other two games are on iOS, and maybe on Android. Forza Street as XBox Achievements.
Music
Two CDs from eBay arrived
The first is The Chicago Bulls Greatest Hits Volume 3 that is still sealed for $8 shipped. I’m debating on keeping it sealed. The only thing I want to listen to is the radio calls, the music can be found on Volume 1 and 2, which I already own. The next CD is this one
Disneyland The Official Album that was released after I left. It has the two songs I really wanted from the 45th Anniversary Album that’s a little too pricey for me (that album is close to $50), Fireworks: Believe…There’s Magic In The Stars, and Parade: Parade of the Stars. These were the two that would always go on while I worked my first season on Main Street. Now they live on my music player. Oh and I got this CD for $20 shipped.
Cards
For the first time in over a decade I bought some cards.
First some 2018 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball Cards which apparently also celebrates Champions in other sports, as well as random things (I think they had a card for a fish). I got these three of Paige Spiranac
From Left: the base card, a special black edition, and a mini. There are a couple of other variants but a sale fell through so I am on the lookout. I spent a buck each for the cards. My second card came in yesterday
I got Angels and LA Kings reporter Alex Curry’s baseball card, also for a buck.
The best part about these cards is that both are former athletes at SDSU.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I need to hit the mailbox, and then edit the pics for this blog. Have a good weekend…and WASH YOUR HANDS!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
