First of all, I like the design. I think it looks neat, and actually quite beautiful. I will not be using it in its "stand up" mode though. I will also probably get the disc version... while I mostly buy digital games, I'd like to have the disc drive just in case I need it. Will probably be more expensive though.
I don't know if I'll get it at launch. Maybe for Xmas. But I haven't made a decision yet.
I was impressed by the new IPs shown. A lot of them look good. I am very interested in the Square Enix fantasy game, Project Atria, though knowing their design process, it probably won't come out until PS6.
I was very surprised by the Demon's Souls remake. I had heard a rumor of it on Twitter, but I forgot about it, and didn't give it much credence. It does kind of sound ridiculous. But it's real, and looks beautiful. I'm not the biggest Souls fan, but I played a lot of Demon's Souls when it came out and it's a great (though unforgiving game).
I was surprised by the Miles Morales announcement. There was some confusion later if it was an expansion or a standalone game, but now we know it's standalone, though not a huge game. I love Peter Parker, I do, and I grew up with him, but I'm kind of bored with the stories about him at this point. I don't know much about Miles, but I'm open to it.
I am also very interested in Kena, the Zelda-like adventure game starring the Japanese girl. That looks cool.
Horizon looks great. I never played the original, but the underwater scenes for the sequel look amazing, and I'll probably buy it for that alone.
Returnal kind of looks like a space-aged, shooter Souls-like to me. Maybe I'm wrong. That's just the vibe I get.
I don't have to go through all my impressions, but these were my biggest ones. I will probably check out Gran Turismo when it comes out, it sounds like there will be a lengthy campaign mode, unlike the last iteration.
