A lot of games copied TLOU story and gameplay just to show how influential it was. I can think of a few just off the top of my head like Evil Within 2, Metro Exodus, God of War, Days Gone, Witcher 3 (a dad game but not sure if inspired by TLOU) basically daddy simulators in post-apocalypse. Reminds me of all the Dark Souls clones. I will probably hold off on TLOU2 until a sale later in the year. I still have Dying Light and Uncharted 4 to finish.
The Last of Us 2 vs. Days Gone

I have Days Gone out from GameFly and I am not very far into it at all, but it just isn't grabbing me. I keep being told to play through cause the story gets better but I'm only going to give it so much rope before deciding against it. So far it really does feel similar gameplay and story-wise to The Last of Us Remastered, which was the first game I ever played on my PS4.
But dammit, that story just grabbed me from the jump whereas Days Gone felt too cheesy opening up. And I'm not sure about these motorcycle controls. And holy shit the load times.
Anyway, I do think I'll buy The Last of Us 2, as the last AAA game I ever buy for my PS4 to round out this console generation. But there are things I want to complete in my backlog before making that final purchase, namely Horizon, so I'll hold off for now. Really hope I can avoid spoilers. I managed to avoid the leaks fine.
