metro exodus is an amazing end

I remember reading about how Metal Gear 5 felt disappointing to some people because, story-wise, compared to previous installments in the series, it went for more of an open world, free-play style rather than the more directed linear movie style in previous games and lacked the quirky story and character elements the series is known for..

Metro Exodus also switched to small open world maps and free roaming play style but still has some really well directed haunted house style levels similar to previous games and manages to keep the survivor horror elements in-tact as well. In short, I think Metro Exodus manages to do what Metal Gear 5 could not - give a game series a proper send off without sacrificing much of its identity mainly because the director didn’t finish the game the way he intended. Exodus is inline with some other great trilogies like maybe Witcher3, Metroid Prime, The Batman Arkham series, Bioshock, although the last game is iffy? Maybe Gears of War? I don’t remember what the consensus on Kingdom Hearts 3 or Uncharted 4 were, or if they’re even the last game in a series. Anyhow, Metro trilogy is consistently very good and gets better with each game and ends with a satisfying conclusion.

it's always on sale. I'd recommend for 15 if you are iffy about it. The first two games are always on sale for like 8. I'd recommend the remastered versions of the first two. They're pretty lengthy, slow burn, stealth survival games. If you like dark atmospheric games.

I think I have the previous two games now from various sales. I played several hours of one of them last year. I just need some time to go back to them.
