Hey it’s a Friday and I am going to actually write a Quick Hits Blog on Friday, the absolutely non political post because I am completely over all of this BS. That’s the last you’ll hear about it here. So I am currently waiting for that half hour point after I brushed/flossed my teeth to start eating. Since I’m here, you’re here, let’s get started.
Chris Watches…
PBS: One of the local channels after midnight shifts to showing nothing but cooking shows that are produced by PBS. I’ll watch an episode or two before falling asleep. I have the basics of cooking certain Italian foods but I don’t know if I’d actually try them.
Little House On The Prairie - Various Channels: This has been my go to for the past couple of weeks. Sometimes you just need a good family show where within an hour everything gets cleared up.
-Mandalorian is back, so this means I really should watch the final episode of Season 1 before jumping into Season 2.
Chris Reads…
Sorry folks haven’t cracked open a book in a couple of weeks
Chris Listens To…
I’m currently converting the Various Artists section of my library to MP3 for my travel laptop. I’ll probably finish converting all my music by Saturday. I’ve come to a realization that if I place all the songs based on the Artists name (example: everything that starts with S) into a playlist I can then select it all and then convert and go about my day. I wish I would have figured this out around A instead of going disc by disc.
Pickups
Games
Thanks to Apple/Amazon Prime/Epic I got a bunch of freebie games.I legit couldn’t tell you the freebie games from Prime and Epic because I just hit the link, click claim, and eventually I’ll get around to installing.
On iOS: Real Flight Simulator, and Railways. Full games no IAP, kind of a shocker for mobile.
Android: I bought Retro Bowl .99 unlock so I have Retro Bowl on both iOS and Android. I like it on Android because the tablet is 7 inches, the only drawback is that when I start a game right after I power up the tablet the game is slow and then speeds up to normal. It’s probably more device than game.
Toys
Two non Lego building blocks sets, the first is from Oyo the company who makes Lego like figures of athletes
I now have the Lego Hockey Rink which is more of game for two people and this Oyo Rink that is more of a display for your figures. The set came with 5 figures but after spending 2 hours putting this together (Oyo’s instructions are not the best) I was too tired to assemble the figures. I now have this rink, a Zamboni, and the Padres Infield and Injury Cart. I really wished I would have bought the Raiders Offense with end zone but I wasn’t willing to spend $40. I found this rink in the toy section at Marshall’s for $20.
The next set is from a certain TV show
The Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. I thought about opening my Kratos and placing him on the throne. Mega Construx create cool figures and I might start collecting more of them. I found this at Ross for $12, and I might go back for their Halo Construx figures.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I need to do some cleaning before college football later on tonight as my Aztecs face San Jose State. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
