I like Star Wars a lot, but I never felt compelled to play most of the Star Wars video games. I played the LEGO ones, yeah, but I missed out on the SNES ones. I wasn't going to pay full price for them, and I think they were always taken at the rental places. I wonder if they're going to make a video game based on The Baby Yoda Show.
You're Gonna Need the Force - Super Star Wars

Super Star Wars was an adaptation of the 1977 movie released for the SNES in 1992. It was followed by Super Empire Strikes Back (1993) and Super Return of the Jedi (1994). The games featured great graphics and gameplay inspired by the classic films. Mostly players experience sidescrolling action, but there were also other elements such as piloting Luke's landspeeder across the desert planet Tatooine and the famous X-Wing mission in the Death Star trench. The games were very well received, especially after the lackluster Atari and NES iterations.
These games are pretty difficult though.
I never had a SNES, but I would go over to my friend's house, and he had Super Star Wars. I have only played the other games on emulation. At that point in time, George Lucas hadn't pissed on our childhoods yet, and Star Wars was a sacred thing to my generation.
I didn't get far in it though. I always got stuck on the early level when I had to fly the landspeeder through the desert. Well. It didn't seem so difficult in the movie.
As I said before, the graphics were great. The game had great backgrounds and very detailed sprites, and the overall look of the games tickled the old nostalgia bone. The game music was of course inspired by the movie music, completing the circle.
These were great games.
