Pixlpeeps Sorry I've Been Away

Hello Internet friends. I’ve neglected you for the past couple of weeks and for that I am sorry. There has a been a lot going on here and at times it has been a bit overwhelming. Since it is the last day of 2020 I didn’t want to end the year without some sort of contact. When I have had some time to myself I did manage to play some games. Most are of the mobile variety because I didn’t want to actually fire up the laptop or a console. Hell up until the end of last week I haven’t touched a laptop in a couple of weeks and I haven’t started up a console in longer.

I’m trying the 3 months of XBox Game Pass on PC for $1. I’ve only downloaded two games so far

Forza 7: It’s a bunch of racing with kind of a Grid setup except you have to hit a certain point total to advance to the next level of trophies. I don’t know what I did but I got a lot of cars, and driver looks unlocked. I’m in the second section for the next trophy and I don’t know if I want to continue. It’s fun to race but it’s a lot of the same type of racing but with different vehicles. Maybe I might try the other Forza game where it’s open world racing.

Crackdown 3: I liked Crackdown 2 so I downloaded 3 and it’s more of the same. There really isn’t a lot of substance story wise but we all know this game is run around, collect orbs, get stronger, take out baddies, rinse repeat.

Madden 20 - Origin: I am on Season 4 of my Lions Franchise and they won back to back Super Bowls but it always seems that they always run into a rut of 3 games that seem impossible to win. One I did make a crazy comeback but the other two were just good ol’ fashion blowouts.

Mobile Mania

Shadowgun Legends - Android: Santa Pow Pow Claus leveled up to 5, and after that I stopped playing because life got in the way.

Need For Speed: No Limit - Android: I got tired of trying to unlock the car of the week because it feels almost impossible if you don’t spend actual money, and there is no way I’m spending actual money. I play it as far as I can and then I go back to doing other things in the game.

NBA Super Card - Android: A couple of years ago I was all into the WWE version but stopped. I started to get back into the series but with NBA players and it’s still the same game except the Quick Games are a lot easier.

I started playing a couple of iPad games this morning but I’ll play more of those before I share them with you good folks.

So that’s my gaming in a nutshell.

Well Pixlpeeps sorry this catch up is short but I’m still here. Here’s to 2021! You all be safe and enjoy New Year’s Eve. I’m going to have a wild night of sleeping.

I'm on a sports sim kick this year. I'm simulating the football game every sunday in Madden 20. Last week I played as Philly Eagles vs. Cowboys and won 56 to 16. The real game almost became the reverse of that. This week I'll simulate Eagles vs Washington and compare the score to the real one.

Later in the year I'm going to switch to different sports and so the same. In January is the PBA Tour, so i'm going to do some bowling for a few weeks then go to Hockey until the U.S. Open in the summer. I'll get some baseball in there too and some tennis when Wimbleton comes around.

I'm also looking into other championships too not all sports. Like there will be Olympic Summer Games this year, and the Chess Championships TBA. I saw there's still a Monopoly Championship next Fall. What else... I'm thinking of others.

That sounds like fun, having your own sim seasons. Sometimes when starting a Franchise I'll do that with the first season just so I can trade, and sign players. Monopoly would be interesting to watch, mainly to see how the game is properly played and not with everyone's special way of playing the game.

I'm tempted to simulate a whole season, but I don't think I'd get through it all. So I just do a single game at a time.

The Monopoly championships don't have a date yet but it's supposed to happen sometime next Fall. It would be neat to watch it. I've seen snippets in a documentary I watched once, the name of which I forget now.

Happy new year. Right now I'm working my way through The Outer Worlds on Switch. Better port than people gave it credit for, though it's possible that Obsidian patched it pretty good. I also finally picked up Octopath Traveler at Target.

Happy New Year! I want to give Outer Worlds a try and since I have Game Pass for a couple of months I'll give it a go after Crackdown 3. Congrats on the new game!
