The New Zealand Story

Pitch: Run, swim, jump, and fly as you free your fellow kiwis from an evil walrus.

I've always heard good things about The New Zealand Story and now I see why. It's a delightful, colorful little game where you play as a bow-toting kiwi out to save his friends from an evil walrus. You can run and jump and shoot arrows, as well as get the occasional flying contraption. The levels, which each end when you rescue one of your buddies, quickly grow pretty large in size and nonsensical from a real world layout perspective, but that does not hurt the game. It's legitimately fun to play and is probably pretty long. This is the best game I've played in this collection so far.

This game may be cute, but it's BRUTALLY HARD! And the game trolls you, too! When my brother Jeff played it on this collection, he was bound and determined to beat it. He played it for hours. Apparently at one point you can take a different path, so Jeff took it. He found himself in a sky level and when he beat it, an angel held the Kiwi in her arms and said he was in Heaven and can rest now. Then he got a premature GAME OVER screen! He was so mad at that, but we both laughed at it! All that hard work and he didni't even get to save all his friends captured by that leopard seal!
