While I was finishing breakfast I was trying to get my thoughts together on what I did the past week. I mean I didn’t play a lot of games, actually I played the same lineup but I did “finish” one (the original goal of the game was to hit a certain level, now the developers added new stuff) but more on that in a bit. Let’s get started.

Chris Finishes One

Pocket City - iOS: I was playing this game on casual to see if I could hit Level 100, and well I did, thanks to an infusion of money from the sister city I created. When I first tried this game there was one city you built and your goal was to hit level 100. I got stuck around 80 when I built up the city and there was no room to update. Last week when I started a new town I noticed a group of changes including being able to build another city one you hit level 40. This would help with your main city’s money and the other city would be able to start out with anything you unlocked.

I was stuck again around level 80 so I started the other town, quickly earned a couple of million and proceeded to transfer that to the main city. I was able to update, and improve sections to where I was back to leveling up. I also started using the policy feature that helped increase population within residential areas, raise the commercial and Industrial areas. Once this was going it was smooth sailing to unlocking the ability to launch a rocket into space and then boom the magical Level 100!

I love this game. It brings the fun of Sim City into a portable device without having to worry about in app purchases, and being online to play. I uploaded my iPad City so I could download it onto my phone and then again onto my PC (more on this later). If you love Sim City or any city building game this one is an easy must buy. It’s a couple of bucks (I believe under $3), lots of fun quests, fast tutorial, and the ability to upload and download different cities.

Chris Plays…

Pocket City - Windows: Ok so I still wanted to play this game but I wanted the horsepower to go *in a comedic booming voice...or the voice in Killer Instinct* ULTRA Settings!!!!!! The game isn’t graphic intensive but when you have a lot of pedestrians on the screen the iPad struggles. I was going to buy it on Android and play it on Bluestacks but Google Play wanted $3. I checked the Windows store just to see and they had the Windows port for a buck. Again ULTRA Settings!!!!! I imported an older version of my Level 100 city that was level 82 or so just so I could get the feel of using the PC and then I found out that if I hit Level 100 I unlock a screen of cheat codes. Who doesn’t love cheat codes?

I started a new city on the highest difficulty and well it plays like the casual mode except you hemorrhage money unless you play really slow. Thank you 100k money cheat that got me past this early struggle in the game. When you are able to build multiple farms the loss of money stops and you’re able to start saving cash. I’m cruising along right now, I think I stopped the game at around level 70 to watch the goat take apart the Chiefs. I started back up and I am around level 120. Once you pass 100 with the difficulty above casual there are special buildings to unlock. I unlocked the giant floating duck, the DJ Booth, and the Bank tower, and I am currently working on getting the Mayor’s Mansion. You need 40k and a couple of other requirements to unlock the ability to buy it.

Solitaire - iOS: I’m getting faster at beating the game but I still need to work on doing it in less moves than my personal best. I finished 3 games earlier this morning, and beat my best time but not moves so my overall score was lower than my record score. All for a card game.

Forza Horizon 4 - XBox Pass PC: I am down to maybe four cars left in the search for garages, and race wise I need a couple of street races before I get the long final race for it. I already completed the off road version, and another one but the name escapes me. After that I have the jumps, movie theme, and I think taxi? There’s a lot not including the big events.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off to do some adulting. Have a good one!

That’s all for now, more tomorrow!

Pocket City looks quite complex for a phone game. I think I'll need a phablet for this one.
