Didn't know this was free. I think the original three R&C games were some of the best 3-D platformers of that generation. No disrespect to Mega Man Legends, but this is what a 3-D Mega Man game should be like.
Ratchet and Clank

Well, I had planned to finally beat Final Fantasy 15 after Spider-Man, but I realized I was already playing an action RPG (Tales of Vesperia). So I downloaded Sony's free copy of Ratchet and Clank. I've never played a Ratchet and Clank game before, and while Tamson said this reboot wasn't as good as the original, it was free.
I have to say, I really enjoy the game, though the story does feel truncated sometimes, like they tried to fit too much into the game. I really enjoy the weapons and wandering the worlds, and I can understand the lure of exploring every nook and cranny. The game has a good sense of humor too, but I think what all ties it together is the very tight controls and great feel of combat, whether it's melee or one of the crazy weapons.
Every weapon has its advantages, and some of them make me laugh every time I use the them. The Groovitron, for instance, shoots out a disco ball that makes enemies dance, making it easier to kill them. But my favorite weapon so far is the Pixelizer, which renders enemies in a lower bit rate.
I think I'm closing in on the end. I'm not sure what action game I'm going to play next.
I'm still working my way through Vesperia, and I finally got my party wiped out for the first time. So it's grind time.
