Good morning Pixlpeeps! Ok I think I’m back to a regular schedule again. I’m waiting to hear back from a client about a project so while I’m here, you’re here, let’s here together….here.
Quick Vegas Recap:
I went to Vegas to celebrate my nephew turning 1. He’s a funny little guy who loves the vacuum cleaner, and wants people to walk with him to the bedroom where the vacuum lives. He loves it so much his mom bought him a kids version which he loves. Since he has a little farm house I bought him this toy set with a farmer, some animals, a tractor and a trailer. If you put the figures in their spots and push down they make noise. He likes things with sounds so I also got him a book that teaches him the names of things around the house. We spent a week there because it was little man’s Spring Break and being me I stayed away from the strip. I did however see someone gambling inside of an Albertson’s
And as we were getting ready to hop onto the freeway we stopped at a Terrible’s (not the giant one outside of Vegas) I saw a man at the slots. It was 9am on a Monday…bruh.
While in Vegas I tried out a new Hawaiian food spot (I actually ate at the original restaurant on the other side of town on a previous trip), and on Easter Sunday we found a really good Filipino spot where I ordered all things fried including Chicken Skin. Super nice people and the place smelled amazing. We took it to go because sorry folks I’m not comfortable eating in public right now.
When we got back I ordered my nephew some construction toys because he really likes to work with his pops when it comes to tools. I also ordered him a book about the sounds that the tools make.
Chris Watches
I still haven’t jumped back into the MCU but I have been watching my usual of Top Chef, the season finale of Hell’s Kitchen, and The Challenge. Add to the mix is The Challenge All Stars, and a whole bunch of 90 Day Fiance spinoffs both on streaming services.
My weird YouTube watch for the past couple of weeks have been all things Deployment videos. What people pack, housing tours, the trip to deployment, etc. It’s interesting to see what people bring, what the military requires you to take with you, and what people do for entertainment. I’ve been watching that and this other YouTube Channel “The Timepiece Gentleman” where a guy who started his own watch selling business sells his products. I’m not into watches but I thought it was interesting and I’m learning about the hobby.
*I started typing this entry earlier this morning but now it’s now 7:23pm I just finished a project and I am finishing up this blog*
Pickups
So I brought my keyboard to Las Vegas and my nephew loves keyboards and I think his mind was blown when we plugged the keyboard into a battery pack and it lit up. He also figured out how to make the lights blink (he sat on the keyboard and hit the on/off with the FN button. Who knew?) Anyways I left it with little man, and on the way home I stopped at Big Lots and bought another one along with an overpriced light up XL Mousepad.
From the Albertson’s in Las Vegas I found
It reminds me of the Robin Batmobile skin from Arkham Knight and
I can’t find these anywhere locally because reseller guy always buys them.
Earlier this week I was going to break down and sign up for Discovery+ but waited a bit. While browsing through SlickDeals I saw that I could sign up for Discovery+ no ads for $7 a month, get a code and redeem it for a free Fire Stick Lite
Yesterday it arrived and I tried the jailbreak but I didn’t care for it. A lot of the channels didn’t work so I did a fresh reset and I am currently using it as a replacement for my Gen 1 Apple TV.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
