Riding A Camel!

So last week we had an Excessive Heat Warning for the entire week, which usually means everything outside is hotter than the surface of the sun. Happily I spent the week indoors with the occasional trip outside to experience life on the sun. During these non melting periods of when it was 120°+ outside I played some games including some new ones.

Chris Plays…

Assassin’s Creed Origins - PC: What’s better than being the Assassin who goes back in time through some crazy machine thing that I never fully understood? Being able to ride a camel in Egypt. Yep I’m roaming around slicing and dicing all while having a trusty camel be my ride. I haven’t played a lot of the game yet, and I am barely getting comfortable with the controls of being the world’s greatest assassin that travels through some crazy machine but I am enjoying this ride. I like to hop around, cause some trouble with the soldiers, run wild on them, hide, and do it all over again. Did I mention the best part? I get to ride a camel!

MechWarrior5 - PC: I’ll be honest with this one, I have no idea how to get into the damn robot in the career mode. I fly to a spot, I add the stuff I want to use but I can’t get into the damn thing. On campaign I’m walking around and getting dizzy like it’s no big deal, but the other mode, damn. I might put this with No Man’s Sky and not play it for a bit.

Cities: Skylines - PC: I thought it would be fun, like Pocket City but there’s a lot to unpack, and it’s something I really don’t want to sit and learn right now.

Pocket City - iOS/Android/Windows: I’ve been playing mainly on iOS/Android in the morning before my alarm goes off. On Android I started on the default Casual and there’s really no challenge which is fine, and on iOS it’s the sister city of my main city so everything is unlocked, I have a ton of cash and all I have to do is place buildings.

Madden 20 - PC (Origin): I started a new Franchise with the New York Jets and I am using a stylized NY as my main logo. For the first season I’m using the current uniforms and then next season I will use the ones I’ve been designing on and off for about a week. I’m thinking of using Forest Green, Kelly Green, White, Gray, and Black as the team colors.

NHL 2K2 - Dreamcast (Emulator): The Mighty Ducks are undefeated in 5 games and averaging 3 goals a game. When I get paid I will probably buy the pro version of the emulator just to get upgraded graphics. I think it’s cheaper than buying the cables that convert the signal to HDMI on the original Dreamcast.

That’s really all I’ve been playing with this entire time, maybe a random game of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat snuck in but nothing really worth writing about. Alright Pixlpeeps I must get going, have a good week!

That’s All For Now,

-Chris

Cities Skylines does have a bit of a learning curve. I couldn't get into the console version. Too much on my brain at moment I guess.

I think the only thing I'd want to do in that Assassin's Creed game is ride a camel.  I watched my brothers play some of those games.  I remember you could fall 20 stories into a pile of hay and be OK.  And in one of them, you could feed any animal in the village by magically summoning bread crumbs from your hand.  And that's my takeaway from Assassin's Creed.

I've been wanting to play that Egypt game for a while. I keep on hesitating when it's on sale.
