Games Beaten

-Blaster Master Zero 2 (Switch)

Blaster Master Zero 2 is largely more of the same and that's not bad. The NES+ look and sound of the game is still fantastic, and the new locations bring some great variety to the visuals. Controls are tight even if the varied arsenal is still undeveloped (I used some of them a lot though). The story fulfills its role, leading to some satisfying melodrama in the "good" ending. It's an easy recommend. Feels old school without being punishing. Looking forward to BMZ3!

Games Bought

July marked the occasion of my oldest son buying his first game with his own money, Game Builder Garage (Switch). Not my kind of game but it's gotten a lot of use since he downloaded it, so it seems like a solid purchase. On my end I picked up The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles (Switch), two Victorian-themed 3DS games that were formerly stuck in Japan.

Just barely started so I don't have much to say yet. Looking forward to digging into these stories.

-Picross S2 (Switch)

Nearly done with the regular puzzles. They're quite hard O_O

-Metroid: Zero Mission (GBA)

Prepping for Dread. Trying to escape the Space Pirate mothership.

-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch)

Made it to Hunter Rank 3!

-Destiny 2 (PS4)

A new season is supposed to start later this month.
