You guys know I love to do BaD (Blog a Day). I always do themes, which is much more fun than just doing random posts. Last year I did "Forgotten Gaming Mascots," which was a ton of fun. Several months ago, I thought of a great theme for this year's BaD. Here it is:

OST So Good!

You guys probably know that I love some great VG music. And so, I'm going to share with you some of my favorite video game soundtracks. These are the OSTs that have stuck with me over the years, ones that I still listen to now. There's just one main rule I'm putting down (for myself), and that's that I can only do one OST from a specific series (otherwise there would be a lot of Final Fantasy OSTs on here). So I'll pick my favorite OST from that series (which can be pretty tough). I'll then select a few songs and talk about why they're so great. Also keep in mind that these are my personal favorites, not "the best" (it's all subjective anyways). You'll see some very well-known OSTs, but I also tried to pick some that were more obscure and deserve some love. Looking forward to it! I hope you guys will also do something cool for BaD this year.

Oh good, I'm not the only one thinking about BaD lol. Things have been dead around here lately Last year I started the first Taito Legends collection for BaD and I'm going to continue were I left off there.

I usually manage to come up with one or two BaD posts. Which may or may not be bad posts.

A for Effort. But I think you will need to do more posts than that for it to qualify as BaD

Sounds like a good idea. There are so many video game soundtracks I like, that I could probably write about them all month, too. But I won't, because I've got enough on my plate. I'll have a couple of blogs up in February, and of course I'll read all the others and post comments if I have anything intelligent to say.

Yes, please listen to it if you can! It's more about composers than soundtracks, but I still think you'll find it interesting.

Some of my favorite soundtracks I can think of off the top of my head are:

Katamari Damacy series

Nice. I was recently playing Taiko No Tatsujin: The Drum Master on Game Pass. Lots of great tunes in there.
