Hello everyone, how are you?

A new Nintendo Direct is finally upon us. It's the first one of the year so now 2022 can finally begin. One thing to note what it says on Nintendo's tweet...

Tune in 2/9 at 2 p.m. PT for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 40 minutes of information mainly focused on #NintendoSwitch games launching in the first half of 2022.

One thing that stood out to me is the part where it says "information mainly focused on Nintendo Switch games". I'm curious, is there something else not game related that they plan to show? Maybe we are going to get our first look on the Mario Movie? New hardware? I mean the Switch is almost 5 years old but that could be highly unlikely as Nintendo said that they plan to support the Switch for 10 years. But that could also mean that their next console supports Switch games as well. But this could also mean that their main focus are games for the first half of 2022.

I'm expecting more news on Splatoon 3, Kirby, and a few of the other games we know about already that haven't released yet. We are going to see amiibos since they've yet to release amiibos based on the final batch of dlc characters from Smash Ultimate. I mean whatever they decide to show will be really exciting.
